I could totally kick myself for tossing and turning all night last night! That was so easy breezy it was over before I knew it started. :bonk:

I got through security, and was directed to preclearance. A nice man looked at Amy's passport and said "its always nice when we get one back". Then he looked at my passport with my visa, asked me for the package.

Took my fingerprints and photo, and directed me to secondary...*started really sweating about now*.. :wacko:

A really nice lady took my stuff from him.. and took me to an office. She asked me to sign in this metal square, took my thumb print (real one.. with ink). Asked when I got married, and if Im looking foreward to seeing my husband (HELL YEAH LADY!!!!! :bonk: ).

Then stamp stamp, passport back with a big smile and she said "I have the priviledge of being the first person to welcome you to the United States!"

And then I cried... and cried Like a fool!

Im in the boarding lounge now.. waiting to board the first of 2 flights back to my hubby's warm embrace. :)

What the "L" their is no crying during POE'ing!! lol congrats

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Thank you so much guys!!! Im so happy this is almost all the way over. In Salt Lake City now cursing a 4 hour layover..GET ME TO MY HUBBY ALREADY!!

I almost knocked on the pilots door flying here to ask "are we there yet??"

I still cant believe how smoothly that went. It was so cute too, cus Amy looked at the CBP officer who first took my passport and said "Can we go to my daddy now???" I couldnt have prepped her better myself!!

:dance: At least I have finally stopped bawling my eyes out. Its sooo strange to not fret about anything!
