Nat, if the house it hot )like it would be in JA) then don't eat it but if it's room temperature then it's fine IMO...

KJ, if I take your advice & get sick...:bonk::lol:

-----------------------

Since several people have stated that the board has changed, it must have. But I wonder what is differet? What I've come to expect to see here: adjustment stories , advice & tips on the process, general gabbery about life happenings, Jermaine videos

To me, that's what I see here, except the process tips/advice part has gone down a bit, as have the Jermaine videos.

So what is the difference from "before"?

Good morning! It's already Wednesday. wacko.gif

Sometime after I went to sleep (midnight), my wonderful husband cooked a ton of food. And his food is ALWAYS delicious. However, I will not be eating any of it. Why? He left it out all night! That wouldn't make him sick because he's done it for years & developed a resistance to the bacteria (I guess). However, I don't have a resistance and am not trying to catch food poisoning.

So how did I react when I woke up & saw all the food?

A) I calmly shook my head and chuckled over his good intentions gone wrong, the put the food away & finished getting ready for work.

B) I wailed, "Steven, Noooooooooooooooooo!" in a dramatic way & woke my husband up, then told him that he knows I don't eat food sitting out for more than a few hours.

I wish I had done A, but I let my emotions get the best of me. His feelings were very hurt.

Sorry his feelings were hurt. I think you reacted instead of doing choice A. Dont you wish sometimes you could take things back? Just comfort him Nat.blush.gif I know been there done that *insert foot in mouth* lol

Nat it just shows you are human and you realize your error in response....Now, make sure he knows why you reacted that way and appologize

Getting sick from eating food left out really depends on #1-the type of food left out & #2 your own personal body system. It isn't always an ABSOLUTE that food left out will go bad...I think as a society we have become so germaphobic that we create some of the issues of illness. Just yesterday I was walking through my neighborhood park and saw a sign that the wading pools throughout the city will be closed down due to bacteria that can be found in standing water...??? OK, but it makes me wonder why is it so bad now but when I was growing up playing in that same pool it was ok??? Your body needs a little bacteria to survive in this world.... OK, getting down from my soapbox... :bonk:

Sus well said, WOW you said EVERYTHING that I was thinking ( get out of my head ) rofl.gif

This is Real talk and I applaud all the Vets for coming on and voicing your opinions and sharing your wisdom!

This thread like you said has become something else and the reason for starting the thread initially has been lost and that is sad......

The only thing I see gone wrong with the thread is arguing. Other than that its an open forum where people with similar experiences share. I have met several couples in person so its a great place for me but to each his own. Nothing is supposed to stay the same because if it does, it means there is no growth!

wow i dont even know where to begin, i dont know half the ladies maybe men on here..and mi cyaa tek a bus head right yah now..but when it comes to bashing Jamaican men i'm not cool with that, the least we can do is respect the fact others are married to Jamaican men or theire fathers, brothers, uncles, nephews are Jamaican. I have also stand by upholding your man or else no one else will, we can share things on here that doesn't have to be about how we wanna beat or menm putting them on leashes (figuratively or not) but then again everyone's different.

I will always have an ear to anyone who asks, i have made GREAT friends from this board, and they know i'm there no matter what, i speak my mind and i stand by whoever has said someting that is valid and true friend or not.

I guess i'm saying, upholding my husband has given us 5yrs of marriage and a lifetime of friendship and love. Don't let no other person gain the right to "step" on your spouse.

Good mornin gladies,

Today I got to the doctor to get the referral for the other doctor. :bonk:

But my first baby doctor appt is next Wednesday

:ot:

I woke up this morning with pain because my panties were in a frenzie last night :rofl:

Im going to always say what I feel and thats that, I see everyone said something about a certain post but nothing on mine.

Fine, If you want to ignore me thats fine, but with that attack on Lady C and Ells yestreday, I would hope and love if someone would defend me also.

Like I said she knew he was a mess b4 he came and she asked for prayers but folks dont see thats, WHY because you come today andposts hurtful, even if its great advice like MRs P said you cant come off like that. saying she wrong cuz she wanna send him back that was her opinion at the time and we all have thought something at first that was crazy and then we rethink and make a calm statement.

I dont have time for attacks but remember the glass house and the stones.

I really like respect and not attacks and it was an attack because it was started some aint gone like this. Damn hello how are you doing today? If you got something thats might me good advice but harsh advice for me send me a PM so i can respond accordingly.

So if drama bring in all the drama filled folks yall lets not have any because they way the board has been for the last year has been wonderful

I dont make the rules of respect and caring for people but I do like to follow them

The End :ot2:

OMG I seen that JaP came in here yesterday :dance: Im going to PM her

oh yeah Good morning ladies.
