good morning all ... hope everyone has a great day... My week has been trying my daughter cutting up not wanting to do her chores and stuff slamming doors and stuff... so i recall someone suggesting removal of the door so thats what i did... she cryed i want my door ... mind she is 11 and i know she is testing boundaries cause R is here and of course thatnk god her father and step mom are on the same page with us . (my mom another story).. so hopefully she will get i under control then she had the nerve to throw her glasses and break them.. she got her tail torn up for that on top of everything

Hey the baby is doing great, Yes he or she is a fetus now. I am praying for a girl! Hubby is praying for a boy. I wanted twins to get it all out of the way but there is only one from the looks of the sonogram. Thanks for asking.

Here are my mothers day flowers my mom sent to me on Friday, they were left at work over the weekend and I made sure they have plenty of food and water and when I came in this morning BOOM

Hey ladies. I just wanted to offer a bit of input if I may. I have been reading where several of you are having trouble with your stepchildren in regards to rude, aggressive, acting out behaviors. I can only imagine how frustrating this is, and how quickly you want this to end. I just beg you to remember this: In the counseling field (and maybe social work), there is a theory called the "Law of Unintended Consequences". In a nutshell it basically says that when working on moving towards a desired change or outcome, there will be unanticipated or unintended "actions" that you might not have expected to encounter (and typically they aren't very pleasant). You must figure out how to deal with these unexpected actions or behaviors in such a way that you are all able to move to your desired changes. Also remember that when you are trying to teach new behaviors or habits, that you will almost ALWAYS see a significant spike in the negative behaviors, but over time, and with consistency, encouragement, and reinforcements, the negative behaviors will eventually begin to level out until they are gone altogether. Now I know I am not in anyone's shoes, but I'm just saying, having done counseling with children and families in both natural and blended families, I am aware of alot of what you ladies might be going through. I also think it is EXTREMELY important that both parents are presenting as a united front. If the child can see any fizzure or crack in the foundation, then dammit they're gonna pound on that crack until it completely gives way. I am hoping for the best for all the families here. I know how hard many of you have worked so that you could all be together.

Hubby & I had a major blowout this weekend but resolved it by yesterday & were back to loving eachother. Since we saw his counselor friend a few weeks ago, he had promised to make an effort to stop lying about ish & especially stupid little ish. Well, he fabricates a story Saturday afternoon about going up to the bus stop to meet his friend Marcos but I quickly found out he was really just out in front of our place talking to his female friend who had been 'jogging by'. I don't have so much of a problem with him having female friends (within reason) but the fact that he made up a story about seeing a guy friend because he thought I'd get pissed off about visiting with the girl made me HOT! I started screaming at him & I'm sure the whole neighborhood heard us....his friend out front did...she's scared of me now though we've never met. At that point I told him we were done since he can't stop lying. It was a rough rest of the day & night. Sunday morning I woke up after finally being allowed to go back to sleep (what do I want?? I want some friggin SLEEP!!) & got up & went to see a morning movie. "Babies" was super cute for anyone who might have it playing in your city. Then I ran a couple errands & by the time I got back, we'd both had plenty of time to think about things. I decided I didn't really want him to go (but I was damn sure about to buy him a one-way ticket back home on Sat) & I think he decided this ish will not fly around here! Time will tell. We made up & he said 'he's glad he has his wife back'. Next weekend better be much better cause I'm tired of wasting weekends on this bull!

Umm, not all kids look like they're dad. My sis and her hubby are both very dark and "not too beautiful" as my sis would say and ALL 3 of her kids are very pretty, light skinnec and has beautiful hair. Where they got their features only God knows...

On another note though with all this kid talk, I'm starting to warm to the idea of one day having hubby's daughter here with us. I've always been open but reluctant. Her & I had a little conversation on the phone the other day & it was very cute! Now she wants to talk to me all the time. Apparently she can fire off the raw patwah like nobody's business but when she speaks to me, she uses very 'proper' english. I say, "Hi Brittney, how are you?" and she replies, "I'm very good, thank you...and how are you?" Just makes me smile! Then she shushes her friends in the background so she can hear better. LOL!

Yes Ell, I feel you on that, but my homegirl let her Jamaican husband have occasionals female friends and in the end he was living and @#$% one of them, so I told her jokingly "GIRL MEN ARE JUST LIKE DOGS YOU HAVE TO TRAIN THEM AND KEEP THEM ON A TIGHT LEASH BECAUSE IF NOT THEY WILL GO ASTRAY"

No offense but good luck keeping yours on a leash. Being too hard MAKES them stray because they see you as their momma and not their wife and what do kids do to their mommas? Act out and rebel.

Sometimes that is so true. And part of me thinks why allow that phockery?? Seems like the more time a man is allowed to spend with a female other than his partner, the more opportunities there are for that relationship to become more than 'friendly'.

You can't restrict a man or woman from talking to the opposite sex because you're scared of what he or she might do. My hubby is no angel and I am prepared to find out he's upto bullish but I knew this before I marry him and if he doesn't see yet that he needs to change I have to live it but I won't tryy to change him. I hope your hubby tries to change on his own. Also, it's very hard to change something that you've beemn doing all your life and sometimes a lie in JA takes a long way than the truth.

Ell everything will workout for the good, one thing I've learned with dealing wth my husband is 'MEAN WHAT YOU SAY AND SAY WHAT YOU MEAN" and don't cut any coners and trust me it works everytime. Even though you love them sometimes tough love works better, so if I need to apply tough love thats what I do so he'll know I'm being serious, and I'm the same way with my kids likeI tell my husband if mama isn't happy nobodys going to happy, and he say yes mama,

Sometimes, when you say something you go against it because either you said it in anger or you said it while you were feeling a certain way. If we should act on everything we say, better yet MEAN everything we say then we would certainly have some regrets. ALOT of ladies on here say they get into arguments with their hubby and at that point said it was over, but then the next day they're lovers again so now you tell me if we should really MEAN WHAT WE SAY.....

I went to walgreens and bought that shaving cream but they didn't have the razor so I'll be going back to another walgreens AND I have the $5 off coupon so I get the razor for free plus a $5 register reward. Thanks Nat and keep sending the value knowledge along

NAT, I did a mock shopping at CVS, I spent $44 out of pocket and got $33 in extra bucks reward. My question now is: how do you pay for all your stuff? One by one using the reward as they are printed or you scan all the items you want and the reward is automatically applied? Not sure how they do it at CVS but at walgreens the reward is printed so I'd have to pay for the items one by one and then apply the reward as it is printed. Not sure if you understand what I'm asking... I have a CVS about 12 mins away compared to walgreens that's 3 minutes away.

I started off with $13 in Extra Bucks, plus some $4 off $20 purchase coupons (they give me at least 3 of these a week, so I break my purchases into $20 increments to use them). I'm ending the week with $7 in Extra Bucks so far, so I spent $6 more than I came in with... but I got some stuff we needed (mayo, tuna, peas, corn). You could look at it like I bought the stuff we needed & got all that other stuff for free. My splurge was on the Maybelline. I didn't have a coupon, yet still bought 2 products.

Great job at Walgreens! I had 4 coupons for the razor, so I did the deal 4 times. I came home today to find that Steven gave away 2 of the razors to his friend. I wasn't mad, though, esp cause the friend gave me a bunch of coupons he & his wife won't use.

Oh... I've been to about 4 Walgreens in the past 2 days. Only one of them had a bunch of the razors. One was completely out. The other two had maybe 4 each. And that was on Sunday morning before people even got out shopping the sales! You might ask when they get a shipment in, if the next Walgreens you go to is also out.

It sometimes makes me wonder why people are suprised that the babymothers don't want to send their kids to the States. Why???

I would NEVER send my child to the States to live with their father unless they are suffering. And the other thing that cracks me up is how EVERY babymother is an unfit mother.....My two cents!
