Girly, you are a homeowner now. It never ever ends. Enjoy every single minute of it.

I'm beginning to see that. We find ourselves watching HGTV now. WTH? We live in a townhome so lucky for us we don't ahve to worry about too much upkeep cause I would probably find a way to kill anything we planted outside our yard. I almost kissed the agent when she said no worries your HOA takes care of that...

Oh yeah, welcome newbies BlessMe & Baja!

LOL @ BlessMe w/all your man's female friends better be gay! Sometimes I feel that way too but I realize he needs to have the occasional female friend as well. I have a lot of guy friends but the difference is is that I don't keep much contact with them these days. If I see them places, then great! If we are planning a group get-together, then maybe more contact than usual, but on a day-to-day basis we don't talk much. And I'd never lie to him about speaking with any of them since I have nothing to hide.

On another note though with all this kid talk, I'm starting to warm to the idea of one day having hubby's daughter here with us. I've always been open but reluctant. Her & I had a little conversation on the phone the other day & it was very cute! Now she wants to talk to me all the time. Apparently she can fire off the raw patwah like nobody's business but when she speaks to me, she uses very 'proper' english. I say, "Hi Brittney, how are you?" and she replies, "I'm very good, thank you...and how are you?" Just makes me smile! Then she shushes her friends in the background so she can hear better. LOL!

Yes Ell, I feel you on that, but my homegirl let her Jamaican husband have occasionals female friends and in the end he was living and @#$% one of them, so I told her jokingly "GIRL MEN ARE JUST LIKE DOGS YOU HAVE TO TRAIN THEM AND KEEP THEM ON A TIGHT LEASH BECAUSE IF NOT THEY WILL GO ASTRAY":rofl::rofl:

Well, after this weekend, both my husband & his little friend think I'm nuts!

It's good to set your expectations up front so there's no confusion on what's acceptable. And if they aren't ready to comply with them, they aren't ready to be with you. (That's what I've learned lately.)

Sometimes that is so true. And part of me thinks why allow that phockery?? Seems like the more time a man is allowed to spend with a female other than his partner, the more opportunities there are for that relationship to become more than 'friendly'.

Awesome! Still busy with work and trying to enjoy as much time as I can with Den. We still in the eary stages with being married. We taking things one day at a time, we are now looking at furniture and trying to decide what we want to do for our living and dining rooms. Poe thangs, we'll get the house completely filled and hooked up one of these days soon!

As momma always says take your time. Its yours and its not going anywhere so don't rush take your time and have fun with it. Even if you have to sit on the floor just think their YOUR floors. Well you and Dens!!!

Ell everything will workout for the good, one thing I've learned with dealing wth my husband is 'MEAN WHAT YOU SAY AND SAY WHAT YOU MEAN" and don't cut any coners and trust me it works everytime. Even though you love them sometimes tough love works better, so if I need to apply tough love thats what I do so he'll know I'm being serious, and I'm the same way with my kids likeI tell my husband if mama isn't happy nobodys going to happy, and he say yes mama,:lol::lol:

i cant believe i have to go completely under for this

can i request massive amount of valium and laughing gas instead?

j/k

likkle mo

Prayer said for you, I hope everything went well and that the healing process will begin so yu can move on :star:

Thank you very much but I feel nervous have my fate in someone elses hands

Bajan don't worry about it, just have all that they request, know about your hubby and your relationship and you'll be walking out singing "approved"

No, that night was in March thats the day we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend 4 years ago, after being telephone friends for 6 months.

Ohhhhh ok.

Girl it didnt go as i planned. I wanted to go to the beach, eat some crab, give her the Coach purse I bought her and then tell her

But she had a headaches because that morning they did the Revlon Walk n Los Angeles. So my little sis and I went to my great grandma and god mom's house

Later that night I cme back to her house and she was feeling better, loved the purse but was anxious to know about the surprise

When I told her her reaction was

"at 48 Im to young to be a grandma of 4" :bonk::bonk::bonk:

I looked at her like are you serious, she was like just playing but your hubby called today and told me he said he didnt know why you were taking so long :bonk::bonk:

So she already knew, but its ok because he said when he told her she was happy saying Congrats and she hopes it is a healthy baby girl and boy (twins) he said he almost fainted because he never thought of that.

So it was overall good

It didn't go as you planned but atleast she's happy. :star:

 my son is in his room getting ready for school belting out that rihanna song

what i want want want is watcha want want...take it take it baby baby love it love it...

or whatver the words are. i dont even think he know the right words,,,just singing any ole words...its funny...he sounds serious too, like he really sound good

Good Morning Yardies....

My mothers day was good and bad my family took me to breakfast at I-Hop and then they gave me my gifts. I got Coach Sneakers & Juicy Couture Bracelet from my kids and my Hubby gave me the dress I wanted from Zara's. I love my family. The bad part was I had to walk out on them and go by my friend for a drink because I was gonna snap on my husband. I put Jaheim on punishment and he decided to take him off of punishment. Well that shyt was not cool with me so I left and when I came back we had a long talk. The way my step son behave I have only seen on Nanny 911. This pickney is a mess. He is not used to bed time so he HOLLA until he falls asleep. Friday night I had to woop his butt because he was kicking and punching the walls and screaming at the top of his lungs. Sorry to say my hubby is a punk when it comes to dealing with his son. Last nigt was another repeat of screaming 7 people in Jamaica tried to calm him down because he would not stop. This was after 11 at night. He loves the streets so when he is out he is happy and he loves to be in grown folks business but because I do not allow him to rule no one he clings to his dad and his dad lets him do what ever he wants. I was so pissed I cussed G out and told him if he cant be on the same page with me Jaheim will have to go back to his mother. :help:

First of all I gotta laugh at how you said you've only seen his type of behavior on nanny 911 BUT if your stepson was in school they couod've given you tips on how to deal with his behavior but in the mean time you can try 1 of 2 things.

1. Reward him when he does good, take away the stuff he likes when he acts up but you MUST tell him WHY you're taking his stuff.

2. Have him go to his room when he acts up, you MUST ignore his screaming and hollering when you send him and if you ignore him long enough he'll notice it doesn't get your attention so he'll stop.

I'm no expert but with the little I've learned in school and from work I know those are the best tips. Goodluck!

Thanks for the love ladies!!!!

I'm home and feeling aight

y'all are right, it wasn't that bAd...

I do remember the first thing I asked while I was in the recovery room

was "when can I eat?" only me, only me LMAO

THANK GOD FOR CODINE (sp)

Oh thank goodness it went well.
