Last time is was down there I had bread fruit which was pretty good too.

She is originally from Kingston, but now lives in MoBay.

Okay. Well, if she have family in Mobay have them prepare the ackee and make sure it's frozen. Some people cook/steam it, but that's not necessary. You can also bring fry fish and roast and boil breadfruit...JFK used to those things at POE. Let me stop you're fiancee is going to be like...damn we cant' bring the country with us.

Definitely saltfish - all types - Unfortunately, not ackee - You can't get fresh ackee in the US, only the canned - however the international market is cheaper for it than other spots.

Stop & Shop has a JA section too, but it's limited -

Because of the poison factor, Matt. Never fresh ackee in the US. Canned only.

Make one they are really easy!

well, since you preparing a menu can you add jerk chicken to it and please put some pimento seeds in it and let it sit overnight after you season it.
