Will I be able to pick up salt fish there...The most important item ever is ACKEE, where can I find fresh ackee not canned???

Definitely saltfish - all types - Unfortunately, not ackee - You can't get fresh ackee in the US, only the canned - however the international market is cheaper for it than other spots.

Stop & Shop has a JA section too, but it's limited -

Matt, tek FRESH out dat question...see if she can pick some now have her rub oil on it and put them in a freezer bag, you don't have to pre cook it. I March I brought back a little over 2 dozen bags, because it's so rass EXPENSIVE fi one can a ackee here and can ackee does not taste the same.

No, our apples don't look anything like the yankee apples well, the colour is the same, but they shape like a pear. My dad has avacados in his yard that are the size of papayas

june plums are good!

Girl, during the holidays some places raise it from $18 to $24 a can. I've seen it lately for $10 on sale. Can't do can ackee. Back in the day can ackee was not allowed in the states because people were getting sick. I went to Canada for Caribana and I had 8 cans with me they took them all at the border. I didn't know they were banned.

Matt, better you ask someone else. I'm straight COUNTRY and they do NOT taste the same. If you do what I say you will not have any problems at POE. I hope she knows how to prepare the ackee. Where is she from?
