Hi, Shaunsgal (whenver you're next on).

MrsPalmer, I feel you. My preference is to be married for at least a year before having a child. I would also rather wait until we move from an apartment to a house, as I think that would be easier to do before having a baby. My husband, though, has no such desire to wait. He's wanted to get started on our 8 (make that 2) children since before "I do."

Thanks to Justucia for the suggestion of donating extra items to a women's shelter. I found one not too far away & dropped off my first (of many) donations today!

31293_817018935437_9600706_44322483_6390460_n.jpg

T hese items, valued at over $100, cost me less than $15 by "stacking" sales & coupons. The receptionist & I even had a conversation about "couponing" when she asked why I was donating.

That's really thoughtful Nat!

For whatever reason I don't see any savings, I clip coupons but they only save me like .50 cents. And I take advantage of walgreens reward program...

Ur sweetie worked at Ricks? I just went there for the first time and thought the view was breathtaking I could sit on the ledge and close my eyes for ever but the way the boys demand money was nerveracking(sp)

Girl I'm sure he was but dang all in two minutes tops? Next! LOL

Yea he did, for almost 6 years and wasn't making a dime extra after he took out transportation outta his pay. And he wouldn't quit!

Hey Mrs P

My husbands has been here since August, we have been married 2 years next month but together since 2006. A baby has always been in the plans but not spoken about as a NOW factor. I was on BC for the first few years due to

1. wanted hubby to be here when I got preggo

2. wanted kids to be old enough for a new baby. 2 boys (13 and 11) for me and hubby's daughter will be 6 in a couple months

3. wanted good benefits for our family and a stable income ( ive been on my job since 05 and he has been on his job since oct.

4. wanted to start when the time is right.

I cant sppeak for anyone else but in my situation we are ready. mid to late 20's established and goal oriented. Alot of family support( by the way the situation with my neice has been resolved.) God a super factor in my life and ultimate love and respect for our relationship.

These are facors that should be considered. I dropped him and I from my insurance and jumped on his, Family insurance on his job is more economical. If we were not ready I would have stayed on the BC. No need for doing extra on a situation that is at a stand still.

Yes he is still adjusting and life is going to be a rollercoaster with or with out a baby so i feel that it is positive in the plans. Hope I answered your question just felt like my opinion mattered on this topic

On another note went to the ER yesterday and having some complications so please everyone keep my in your prayers, we really want this baby and God is in the mix.

Love you all

Be blessed

P.S. the dog chewed up my favorite Rocawear shoe :crying: and also hubby new Nautica sandals  he might have a new home by the end of the week.

Goodmorning everyone, I'm up to go get ready for church. I think very soon I'm going to get baptized, I don't see why not. The lord has blessed me immensely so it wouldn't hurt to commit to him.

Have a great day everyone.

After all that he could have at least had something to work with it? Ugh!!! It was a bad time....

You know and I talked to him for 2 years before even taking it to that level only to be let down..... boi i tell ya! lol sooooo glad that episode is over and done!rofl.gif

I remembered after talking to a guy for a while we finally got together to get it on. OMG it was horrible. His size wasn't the problem it was his pace. I swear he tried to do 50 positions in like 2 minutes. I didn't know if he was running a race or what. Needless to say I made him stop and NEVA called him again. He had the nerve to text me like what's wrong. Cha!!!

Oh yeah here go another for the records and yawl betta not laugh at me. O.k. so I was checking this guy for a while. He was chocolate and thick I mean the guy had arms, muscles and a stomach to die for. Well I finally worked up the nerve to invite him over for dinner. I cooked baked fish with salad because he told me what he likes to eat. We had a good time during diner and we sat on the couch to watch some tv. Well the president Bill Clinton at the time came on and I was like oh what does Bill have to say now. He was like Bill who, I said Bill Clinton the president. He looked at me so serious tilted his head to the side and was like ................" Dang you smart huh?" I laughed I thought he was joking. Ladies he was dead serious!!!!! I wonder how's he doing?

Dada that was just sad! WTH??? Not know who the President is... Wow! Thats one for the record!!!

Hey JQ...I sent u a quick post on your FB page. I am praying for the health of you and little Baby Boom! (L) You know, quite honestly, our situations do sound similar (except for the already here kids part!) Many of the reasons you listed for waiting are the same ones that my husband and I had for waiting, but now it seems that we are more comfortable with saying, "ok, if this happens, we feel like we are ready" What we're really doing now is trusting in God's plan for us. But it was a conscious decision made to wait until AFTER he got here AND had begun working...just so that he could establish some sort of stability, normalcy, etc. Plus HE wasn't having it if he felt like he couldn't provide something on his end. This is the same man who became upset when I was talking about baby registries and showers because he thought that it was an indication that he couldn't take care of his own child! I was like NOOOOOO crazy man! :bonk::bonk: This is simply a way that family & friends come together to help celebrate the birth of your child and help the parents with setting up for the baby! I'm still not sure he's convinced! But oh well.... I just wish everyone luck on their journeys!

Hey ladies...I see that more congratulations are in order for the ladies that have recently found out that they are pregnant! CONGRATS! I wish you all happy and successful pregnancies. But I do have a question for you, (and particularly for the ladies whose husband's have only been over here a couple of months)--although this is a very happy time for you all, do you feel like having a baby so soon after the arrival of your man has created a super-additional strain on you guys. Especially if they are not working. I know how difficult a time that was for my husband and I (his boredom and both of our frustrations, adjustments, etc), and cannot imagine what that kind of add'l stress could have done. And I know that you cannot prepare for everything, but I'm just wondering was it a concious decision on your part to try to get pregnant or was it something that "just happened". My husbands been here for 7 months now (and working for 4 mos), and we're STILL adjusting to our new way of living. And although we both want children, when we talk about it honestly, we cannot imagine having a child right now with so much other stuff going on...I would love to hear your thoughts...Be blessed

Hey Mrs. Palmer,

To answer your question, My husband has been here since December and currently not working , yes he is bored and yes he would like to provide more but he does contribute what he can. I got pregnant farley quickly after we got married actually really quickly :) A honeymoon baby but neither here nor there, we had been trying from when he was in Jamaica. Basically yes we planned and no we are not at the top of our game with finances but we do have a stable home and family and friends who are very supportive, I dont know i there is ever a right time to have a baby as KJ said even the rich have there issues. The one thing I do know is we are extremely happy and know the LORD gives us nothing we can not handle.
