yes..u make PERFECT sense, girl that was a hurdle roger decided not to try and get over a while back, it was the SAME issue.. and i told him we don't greet each other all the time so its gonna be hard to teach them to overnight, but i notice more and more they do talk to me more, when i come in after work its "hey mama", at night its "good night mama" each time roger and i prompt them to say something to him as well and she giggles and says it.. i think she just like to get on his nerves  and vice versa LOL..my oldest is getting better, she speaks to us both pretty much all the time.. he doesn't get mad about it anymore though either way.. he hasn't complained in mnths actually, not even yesterday when he ran my youngest down to give her a hug that she still was reluctant to give.. i just thought that since he was leaving to another freakiung country, they should have been more talkative.

you would think but maybe she is a bit jealous because she is going to see his kids. bet deep down she really loves him and thinks he is the coolest. i know little marley does and she acts the same way towards Mikel.

I may be wrong but I am sure you can apply for AOS but NOT an EAD. If you can apply before filing for AOS, I would be AMAZED if was BEFORE getting married! Do keep us updated though!!!! Would be nice if you CAN apply before!

Ok I remember now. You CAN apply for an EAD, but it is only valid for 90 days....

Here is what is says on the 765 instructions. So, I think we are good. Got the NOA1 that is was accepted. Guess we will see :)

K-1 Nonimmigrant Fiance(e) of U.S. Citizen or K-2 Dependent--(a)(6). File Form I-765 if you are

filing within 90 days from the date of entry. This EAD cannot be renewed. Any EAD application other than for a replacement must be based on your pending application for adjustment under ©(9).

Yes you are good!

yep there it is in the black and white so u know u good!

so u have to pay for it, i thought certain ports gave the temp EAD at entry?? or is that a different one??? seems unfair to pay $300 for something some ppl get for free..

Sowwy!!

I just remembered that I thought it was a waste of money because it expired so quickly, and then would have to file again...but the good thing is that it is now included in the cost of AOS, so not like you'll have to pay another fee when it expires....

I think it is a little different. When you come in on a K-1 you can apply for an EAD right away. A lot of people don't because if you file with your AOS, there is no additional cost for that document. If you file them separately its an additional $340. My fiance wanted to get started working as soon as possible rather than waiting almost 2 months for our wedding and then another 3 months or so for the AOS and EAD approval. If all goes well, he should be able to start working as soon as we get back from our honeymoon!

But the EAD is only good up until the expired date on the I-194. That is the down side, so if you have not filed for AOS and have received an new EAD or GC by then, he will have an expired EAD.

Oooohh! Thanks for the heads up on that one. Wasn't aware of that!

ALREADY!! that will work out perfectly.. i mean he will make the $300 back very soon if he finds work quick enough..

That's definitely the hope!

Hi Yardies (((WAVING))) wah gwannn. What have I missed?

:ot:

My 19 year old daughter is a 36DDD and we are having a very hard time finding swim wear tops. Does anyone know where we can find cute ones. My friend says if we find one in the maternity store or a plus size one she can alter it.

LadyC, there is a GREAT shop near Ocean City, MD - Body Double‎ - 1007 Coastal Highway, Fenwick Island, DE 19944-4419(302) 537-1444‎ - couldn't find a website for them - But they do custom suits if you can't find one that fits, or alterations - They are a little pricey, but I have suits from there that are over 10 years old and still look fine.
