I didn't add a updated timeline on my previous post. I thought I didn't have anything to update on. But I do.

20-APR-2010 - Form I-130 mailed

21-APR-2010 - USCIS received I-130

27-APR-2010 - Form I-130 fee cashed

28-APR-2010 - Received USPS return receipt (send for Form I-130)

30-APR-2010 - Realized cashed check has case number, NOA1 has been mailed on 27-APR-2010.

You can also add your timeline to your signature, so that it appears in every one of your posts...no need to re-type it each time.

Choose Settings, right under your account name in the upper right hand of your screen, then the Profile Tab, and then the Change Signature option from the menu on the left of the screen. BTW, I agree w/ you standing straight...no slouching definitely adds to a person's sexyness. :D

I actually don't want to have my timeline posted all over the places. Don't ask me to explain this but there's something meticulously pleasurable about having to type it again and again from scratch. Obsessive compulsive disorder? Perhaps, but I have always been someone who's detailed oriented. So having to type it, which I am going to do now, gives me great pleasure. Thanks for the idea, however.

Also, any input regarding my last couple of questions?

I don't think you need to worry about ordering the transcripts to early, since they are taxes you have already done and won't be changing. And if nothing really strange happens, you should be a the point of sending them in well within those 6 months.

As for the recent "early" approvals from USCIS, I think it's kinda the norm now, to bad it wasn't like that when we filed..

And you should probably write a new topic when you have new questions, but only after you have read the guides thoroughly and searched the boards to see if the questions you have have already been asked/answered.

And as to peoples NOA1's being about 9,? days from being sent, the NOA1 date will be dated the day they sent it out,not when you recieved it,so it's off by a few days. If you know what I mean!

I think that was your recent Q's, sorry if I missed any!

Good Luck on your VJ!

Thanks for your reply and re-confirming that you cannot order your transcript *too soon.* My friend is a dolt as it seems. The only time anything changes on my tax is the day I file it, usually at the begining of January. So ordering it after that should be fine. Sweet. I'm getting all my geese in a duck, or is it ducks in a goose. I'm making plenty of copies of various things and making sure that I have copies of everything while my lovely wife also has copies of everything that I have. This way we never have to wait to mail something to each other and have to mail stuff back and forth. Thank goodness for internet.

Looks like you got your NOA2 only after three months NOA1. That's pretty good deal. I hope I get mine in 1 month, which won't happen. But I keep dreaming. Not that I'm hopeless without my wife or anything just yet. But I do miss her and would love to have her beside me now, and always. :P

Though I haven't received NOA1 on my hand, I know I will have it on my hand soon. The 355USD check was cashed and it has a case number. I can check my USCIS case status already and I have signed up for email alert. :) I think I will have my NOA1 on my *hand* today. It was mailed from California on Tuesday. I figure it takes 4/5 days to move a piece of mail across the country. No worries; so far.

We recieved ours a little faster then what was the norm at that point since we got ours expedited. I'm real happy for the folks nowadays that tend to get them even faster then that though! USCIS is the worst part...just stupid waiting. At NVC atleast you got some control over how fast things will go!

Wish you the best of luck, even though you seem so organized so you probably wont need it

I got the first Notice of Action (NOA1) in exactly 10 days. I theorized I'd receive it in 9.73 days. I was hoping to be assigned to California Service Center (CSC) and I was. I feared my case might be assigned to Texas. According to my calculation, CSC will take 93 days compared to 107 days in Texas. I must commend USCIS for improving their process and processing times. And definitely hats off to VisaJouney forum posters. You guys are hilarious some times and tragic other times; but, you're good folks all around.

From what I heard, doing K3 and I130 ends up taking just about the same time. So I decided to just stick with I130. Less complicated process means less paper work for me and less things to do. Plus, I sort of excepted the fact that my wife will be here anywhere from 6 months to a year. So I've planned my life accordingly. Though it would be nice to have her join me as quickly as possible, waiting 5/6 months shouldn't be that difficult. Plus, I'm loving the phone game way too much. Haha. Just kidding. But yeah, I decided to just go straight for I130. Looks like everything will be processed accordingly so far. So no worries.
