You can download all the information you need from the Frankfurt consulate website.

They will send you a letter referring to the following:

http://germany.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/visa/instructions_for_fiancee_-visa_applicants01-2008.pdf

My suggestion is that you make the folders based on the instructions above.

You will go to 3 different windows. YOu will have time to arrange all the documents once you are there because they allocate time for that(they give you instructions there on how to do it)

Tip: At the consulate entrance there are two lines. Get in the one in the right. The other one is for student visas etc.. Do not ask the officer which line, cause he will tell you that you have to go to the long line.

Most important bring patience with you....

Hey, I was in Frankfurt for my Visa.

She has to fill out form DS 230,DS 156 2 times and DS 156K.

She sends them to the Embassy.

You have to fill out I 134 for her and send it to her. she needs to send that in too.

She'll get a checklist with the Pack 3 she checks all documents she has and sends the checklist also.

She has to bring her birth certificate + copy and police record + copy to the embassy and NOT send it in.

She also has to schedule a medical exam if she hasn't already done that. Otherwise the Embassy will give you an appointment at the physician the same day as the interview. (that's how it was in my case)

you take the interview letter and stay in line in front of the embassy. You show the security guy the letter and get a number. You in through an airport security kind of system

(make sure to leave cell phoes etc in the car or somewhere else)

You walk from the security house into the main building show the front desk person your Passport etc and she'll/he'll show you where to sit and give you a sheet how to order your stuff.

I think the 1st window is #23 and you give the passport, the letter that shows you payed the Embassy fee and a passport picture as far as i remember. Might be something else too.

Next window you give the birth certificate etc. sign the document ds 156k (you leave it unsigned when you send it in) and write name/address on envelope and put stamps on it

(bring 2 euro 40 cents worth in stamps)

last window is interview and fingerprints.

I hope that helped

Good luck

OK heres one more for ya it says on VJ the following

The checklist form is actually misleading – at the bottom of Form DSL – 1076 it says: “ You should bring all of the above pertinent documents and the application forms with you to the interview”; thus you should send back the checklist and DS 230 – as everything else is an application form or a document

What does this mean do we only sent the ds 230 and checklist and thats all we need to send back to the consulate
