AZ law works with what it has now. They don't have time to wait for the rest of the country to decide we need to change the SSC and require more nothing more than it and a drivers license.

Oh FFS. Do you really think those highly trained local law enforcement officers in Arizona would know the difference between a forged green card and an authentic one? Most US citizens have never seen one!

Anything can be forged.

With that, they put an undue burden on residents of other states of this nation - including me. I am entitled to oppose their blatant infringement on my right to freely move about the country with my state issued ID.

Don't freagin go there. It's not bloody rocket science.

So you're saying that a person's human rights should be dependent on their ethnicity and immigrant status?

Ja Mein Kommandant!

calling an illegal alien an undocumented immigrant is like calling a drug dealer and unliscensed pharmacist.

Is there supposed to be some sort of connection between my post and yours?

Fair enough.

And what happens when you naturalize, but still look and sound desi. Then what? What document do you plan to show Bubba then?

If and when I choose to naturalize and I'm ever in AZ, I'll be sure to carry a photocopy of the US passport. Or the certificate of naturalization.

Similar to when I was on the F-1 and kept a color copy of my visa in my wallet. Just seems like a smart, safe thing to do should it ever come into question.

What? My state issued ID says nothing about my status. Won't be good enough for the boyz in AZ. That's fcuked up and infringes on my right to move freely about the country. Why should I have to meet the same documentary burden for overseas travel if all I want to do is live it up in Phoenix for a few days?

let's get to the bottom of your opinion. What exactly do you recommend the state do to tackle their huge illegal alien problem? What do you recommend the country does?

You truly are submissive. They should make it part of the test for citizenship to insist on your rights. This country wasn't built and made great by people that duck before authority but by people that have the pride and courage to stand up for their rights.

Photocopies don't mean squat.

Psst. You're destroying not only a number of illusions but an entire line of argument. That of a fellow countrywoman, no less. Shame on you.

How does it infringe your right? Can you no longer travel freely in AZ?

This topic at hand interests me so I'm still hanging out on this thread.

Hypothetical situations, not so much.

The FEDERAL government should fine the living $hit out of employers who hire illegal entrants. Frequently. And with gusto.

How does it infringe your right? Can you no longer travel freely in AZ?

No, because I might find myself in a bind as the result of any lawful contact with AZ's agencies since I won't be in any position to prove my citizenship to them. Unless, of course, I pretend forthwith that whenever I travel to AZ, I actually undertake a trip overseas and pack my passport. Which, however, according to the 4th amendment of the Constitution the state of AZ has no right to require of me.

I was born in Jersey, jackass.

C'mon AJ, do not deny yer roots.
