My wife just recieved packet 4 with the interview date. The paperwork that we have sent in all before had good time dates. Police check is good for 1 year, we sent this in while still good, in packet 4 it states to bring in all of the paperwork, the police report will be expired at the interview date by 15 days, should we have another police report made with good date of 1 year for the interview?

Cr1 China.

whoa

IF you used NVC Electronic Processing, you are required to bring in and show all original docs and forms (ds-230, I-864 plus supporting documents and original documents, emphasis on ORIGINAL here).

IF you did not use NVC Electronic Processing - all the original docs will be in the casefile for interview day -

but -

there are 2 things that might age out -

1. police clearance certificate - they are 'good' for 1 year from issuance date in China for use at GUZ IV unit, so check that date. If under 1 year, don't sweat it. If over one year, get a new one. Hers will be expired by interview day, so ya, get a new one made.

2. I-864 - if you don't have TY 2009 info/return in there, get it, to add to the stack on interview day.

Good Luck !

Thank you for the info. We have ordered a new police background paperwork. I filed an extention for the 2009 Taxes, I have been in China for the last 3 Months, but I did bring the 1099's with me to give to my wife at the interview.

It is amazing how dumb we get just before the interview on paperwork, before I found myself sharper with all that is needed.

Cr1 at the interview if we get the visa how much will my wife need to pay in money that day?

Thanks again

For CR-1 - there are no additional fees for interview day -

except for the EMS (China Post) delivery fee - which is 20 RMB.

Remember to WRITE DOWN THE TRACKING # on from the EMS label, keep it in yer wallet / email / wife's purse - then start checking with EMS on day 3 after the interview.

Good Luck ! Go Pink !

re: S&ET's response - none of the fees listed there cover 'Interview Day at Guangzhou IV Unit for a CR-1 Visa' - so absolutely ignore that web page - it doesn't apply to you on interview day, at the Guangzhou IV Unit.

lougars - ya, I am aware of yer prior K-1 casefile :(

Good Luck with all for the upcoming interview.

If you'd like some 'review of stuff' for what she's bringing in, on interview day,

post a new topic in the CR-1 forum, ppl can review yer stuff.

FWIW, though - generate a newish 'evolution of relationship letter' - GUZ IV CO staff actually look at these, and an EOR letter is useful, to cover any red flags .
