Good Sunday Morning... Sunny, cooler and LOTS of wind today here in Illinois. Hope everyone survived the storms in the south yesterday....Everyone enjoy their Sunday.

smile.gif

Good morning everyone. We survived the storms in Alabama yesterday. I hated to hear that so many people got hurt because of them.

My husband is trying to move us to Illinois in September, Chicago to be exact. I've heard that it is winter six months out of the year?? Yikes!

I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

Amal i swear i read i might toss supper, didn't see the in! LOL! And sweetie you would make an awesome therapist, but consider goin for a bachelors instead of an associate, the associate isn't worth the paper its written on. My second husband went and did that, and the pay was so low and stress so high, that he became a truck driver instead. And he couldn't get a decent job without a bacehlors.

Thanks for the kind words heart.gif I have to get the associates before I can do a bachelors.......??? right??? At least that's the way I thot it went. My plan was to get a phd in the subject eventually but I thot I had to follow the degrees up.. assoc, bachelors, masters, phd. If I'm wrong..PLEASE let me know NOW smile.gif

Im addicted to Farmville too! I'm afraid to try any of the other games, FV already takes up most of my time. The poser is hilarious, but they should've used the word "harvest" instead of "water". Neways, hope you all have a nice weekend! star_smile.gif

I play:

Farmville

Petville

Restaurant City

and if I get bored, I'll add"

Mafia Wars

Happy Habitat

Pet Society

Treasure Isle

Social City

Family Feud

Country Life

Kingdoms of Camelot

and if I get REALLY bored, I'll add:

Yoville

My Town

Super City

Mahjong

Farm Town

Happy Pets

Cafe World

SPP Ranch

SPP!

My Farm

and I'm sure there are more that I can't remember at the moment! I can LITERALLY spend the whole day on the computer and not think twice about it. It's bad!

I hope everybody has a great day! Add me as a neighbor in any games you play smile.gif LOL

Yep you got it right Amal! If you might want to pursue a BS then make sure your Associates course study is for your continuing education at the

University level. Many Universities now have a Master's/Phd program combined. Just check out your universities and see what they offer!!

Really proud of you sweetie....best of luck!!

I never did an associates, but have my bachelors. I DID go to a community college just to jump start my courses, but went on to a 4 year school after I had 9 or so courses done at the community college level. It's not required to get an associates to obtain a bachelors.

You don't have to get an associates before a bachelors, but you can. All of the AA credits may not transfer onto your Bachelors course of study...so if your goal is to finish asap, then just go for the BA. Also be aware of the type of accreditation your college has, if they are not properly accredited, your credits will not count at all.

I know, I would play games all day if I could too. My mom and I like to farm. Since my husband isn't here with me, I like how it just makes the time fly by. I hate it when our interent slows up and when FV has tech issues. I'd love to add you, just message me ur email ;)

No, you don't have to get an associates before the bachelors. You can do community college coursework, however as others have said, you want to make sure they transfer to the university. There are lots of positives for the community college. There are smaller class sizes and it's a lot less expensive. Just be sure to go in and see an academic counselor at the CC and also the university you want to go to and be sure it transfers so you don't waste time and money.

Hubby and I talked for a nice, long time today. I love Sundays for that! Unfortunately I'm still so, so sick. I can't miss any more work and am already so far behind but I'm not sleeping much because of the congestion and coughing. Any ideas on how to clear this up so I can get back to normal?

I hope everyone enjoys their day. I'm off to try to get some sleep...hope it works!

I guess I will talk to the CC advisor about a BA instead. If I can jump right to it, then why waste my time getting an associates degree. If I want to do a PhD anyway...I might as well start as high up as allowed.

One reason is that the community college is vastly less expensive than the university so if the credits transfer it's a money saver. But if that's not something you need to worry about then yeah, there's no reason not to start the BA.

True, Community Colleges are less expensive and smaller teacher:student ratio. Also, just be aware all of the credits may not transfer. Most CC's aren't exactly sure which will transfer because the University counselor will determine which will/will not transfer. Some CC's have agreements with Universities, it would be great if your at such a school now...then you'd know exactly what would/wouldn't transfer. Hope it all works out...and go for that PhD! I'm thinking about doing the same thing, I've had my masters for 3 years now...I need a challenge.

I love sundays for the same reason. Unfortuntely my husband was in Cairo today to visit his niece who just had surgery. We hope she will fully recover soon. As far as work is concerned, tomorrow is a holiday for us, so my hubby and I will be chatting for a couple of hours via Skype...oh how I love skype! Most flus you have to just let pass through your system. People always tell me to drink hot water with lemon, put a towel over my head and breath in steam mixed with vicks and to eat homemade chicken noodle soup. Get well soon!!

If you have the flu, WOM is right as far as having to just let it run its course. There are OTC (over the counter) medicines that help with the symptoms. Thera-flu is one that my pharmacy recommended a lot. Drinking warm lemon water is also considered good. Warm lemon water with mint is even better. Sticking your head over super hot water with a towel over ur head helps to clear the congestion. No prescription medications will help now as the prescriptions (Tamiflu, etc) have to be taken within 48 hours of exposure to the flu. I sure hope you feel better soon. <3

Berber Mama,

Chicago is COLD-COLD from Late November thru Mid February. But it is not awful. We have very few awful days. The good thing is Ill Dept of Transportation is amazing about having major roads and highways cleared almost immediately. Commutes are never really that bad. Is hubby looking for work here? I will say while Chicago is expensive to live, it seems that people who come here for opprotunity do really well here. I couldnt imagine living anywhere else.
