NOA1 BY EMAIL?

Hello,

I see that some of you have received your NOA1 by email. How can that be obtained when you don´t have a case number to provide to USCIS yet? I´m wondering because I would love to hear any news as fast as possible, it has already been 9 days since I mailed my I130.

You should receive a notice in the mail. I'm not so sure about email quite yet. When you get you notice in the mail it will have you CIS case number on it. You can use that to go on USCIS.gov website to sign up for case updates through text message and/or email.

You won't get NOA by email, but actually they will send you and email for accepting your petition at the USCIS LOCK BOX. For this to happen with your petition, you must have filed G-1145 form with your petition. So they will send you an email/txt message as soon as they accept it and generates notice of action. So in email basically all you get is receipt no.

From my experience, I did file G-1145 but never received email or txt message. lol so I don't know what to say.

if you were to of filed the G-1145 (I did) you only get a txt or email update when the message changes on the dashboard page. Same deal once you get your case number and register with the USCIS site. Basically a bubble has to move to get notification...if that site doesnt get updated (mine didnt get updated for an RFE until after I called the military helpline) you wont get txt or email updates.

hmmm Good Question,lol,i've been wondering the same,and yeahhh,we didn't file a g-1145 :/..had we known we would've filed it along with the petiton!What can we do now?wait for our notice in Mail,and just use the number on it to know updates from the USCIS site?or we send them it,or what?!!

yep all you can do is wait for the NOA in the mail to get the case number....then you can go to the USCIS site and setup an account for e-mail updates...but it is hit or miss if you ever get anything from them.....if the site updates how it is supposed to, then you will have no problems getting the automatic e-mails when it moves dots.
