And i have read some on VJ that it takes 2-3 weeks especially for those who lives in a province because i live in a province and out from Manila.

Yes Darnell they have and kept my passport.

We have today and tomorrow to wait and my husband and I were planning to call the USEM next week. Do you think it is good to call the USEM?

What do you mean by DOS sorry i dont know that one :(

ya, you should tell USC Husband to call DOS (see the # in my profile)

and ask for case status.

DOS Hotline computers mirror case status at US Embassy/Manila IV unit, usually 24 hours 'off' of current status.

Can you tell me - what visa did you interview for ?

and was it a new petition, or a re-affirmed petition ?

Let the husband call DOS. Seriously. He should ask, "What is the status for our case # MNL242342342422010 ?"

Ok i got the DOS hotline number thanks for it. This is in Manila right???

Like i said before the type of visa i went through was K-3. This is the same petition we had the first time which was the year 2007.

Ok because he do not know what to ask, so now I will tell him. But do we have to wait for another couple of days or few days before calling them?

DOS HOTLINE # is in USA. USC Spouse in USA currently? is dead easy to call, from USA.

OK - so this was re-affirmed petition, not a new petition.

re: waiting to call. Don't wait a few days - but do wait until they are OPEN (8 am till 6 PM, Eastern Standard Time).

No I am not getting 221(g) I dont think that is how i call it.

Like what you have read I have my interview last may 21 and when i was in my final interview the consul told me to wait for my name to be called outside and they are going to tell me what a lacking document/s i am going to submit and how to pass it. So when my name was called again the filipino guy told me nothing to worry because they only need my nbi clearance with aka because my middle name in nso birth was a wrong one but i got it corrected before I applied to get my passport. What they want me to do is they want me to get the wrong middle name in nbi office. I got it and went back to the embassy last may 26 and they said they will review my papers and thats it. Anyway last may 21 they told me to go to air21 and registered so i did and have a tracking number but i dont know now coz it is 8 days since i have submitted my nbi with aka and still got nothing (am counting saturdays and sundays).

Hi, regarding to your question about the period of time that I' d waited for my visa to be on hand. It took 2 weeks for me to get my visa.dont worry, as the Filipino interviewer told you, that's not a big problem. I know in 2 to 3 weeks you're gonna have it.:)
