In addition to Sharon's post.. If you (The USC) dont have a passport, a photo ID and a birth certificate will do as well.. My husband does not yet have a passport and for now his BC still works...

I kind of think that the free travel back and forth is only given to citizens of the US or Canada. Even this will change at the end of the year when passports will be required.

If you are from a third country then you will also need a passport. I would not try to re-enter the US with only a green card without a passport also. It may work, or it may not....I dunno.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.
