I've read that the now passed law allows police to enter any place of residence without warrant if an illegal is suspected in the house. Is this true?

I don't know, but if so the law will quickly be challenged legally as being unconstitutional.

What does the Arizona law do?

Arizona's law orders immigrants to carry their alien registration documents at all times and requires police to question people if there's reason to suspect they're in the United States illegally.

It also targets those who hire illegal immigrant laborers or knowingly transport them.

Okay, but I haven't seen how it can be enforced. For instance, does this law negate Stop and Identify laws? Whats the limits here?

If a cop pulls you over, you have to prove your residency now if you're suspected of not being 'legal.' Same thing in any given situation where you'd have an interaction with authorities.

So effectively if I'm walking down the street an officer can demand my papers on the spot?

The new law...

Allows a law enforcement officer, without a warrant, to arrest a person if the officer has probable cause to believe that the person has committed any public offense that makes the person removable from the U.S.

...

Trespassing by Illegal Aliens

In addition to any violation of federal law, a person is guilty of trespassing if the person is:

a) present on any public or private land in the state and

b) is not carrying his or her alien registration card or has willfully failed to register.

Does this mean they can enter private property without a warrant if they believe an illegal immigrant is "trespassing" on it (i.e. lives there)?

Maybe... I don't know.

I don't but lets assume I do for the moment. Lets assume I am a latino male walking the street with US citizenship. If I am stopped I can be thrown into prison correct because I can't prove residency?

Until they can verify your status with DHS.

I'm looking at my NJ DL right now. There's nothing on there that would indicate my legal status.

So this law allows US citizens to be arrested just to check their legal status.

If there's reasonable reason to believe they're illegal. For example if they're eating a taco or wearing a sombrero or something.

So then in Arizona the 4th and 5th amendments do not apply to US citizens. (at this time)

Why the hell are you bothering with trivialities like the Constitution, son? We got us some Messikans to hunt. Yee haw!
