Muskan, call and talk to a supervisor tomorrow. Tell them that you already sent in the original. See what they say. I've noticed this RFE for original when original was sent happening a lot.

AUS, you're waiting for your interview e-mail, dear. It could be this week. Or it could be the second week of June. Either way, it's more than likely going to be a July interview.

What evidence do you have already? What can you add to it? You can make new copies of the DS-230 using the new form, just in case. Have you written a letter showing the evolution of your relationship yet? If not, now's a good time. I don't know how other couples do it, but both Husby and I wrote one. They match up fairly well, with Husby leaving out some of the "important" dates that I included, such as the first day we talked on the phone. Letters from family and friends?

You can start packing up the little things and sending them by parcel post. It usually takes 6 - 8 weeks to arrive at the recipient's address, but it's the least expensive option. If you start now, your things should arrive about the same time you do. Perfect! Of course, leave the things you use frequently.

Get out your Hater Vision Goggles and look at your relationship, yourself, and your spouse. What's fishy? What doesn't make sense? How would you explain your red flags? Or even your yellow flags.

You wrote letters showing the evolution of your relationship? Is this a common thing? I hadn't heard of this but think this might be a good thing to have. Did you send it to NVC or just have it ready for the interview?

I know in Vietnam it's a must. I know quite a few people who got a blue slip (RFE) at their interview and were required to submit a timeline. It depends on the country and Thailand is over there close to VN :rofl:

So, what about those who go through this process without the help of forums, etc. How do they know what kind of evidence, IF ANY, is needed? Is it mentioned in one of the packages to come? we have a heap of emails and pictures of each other in aus and US with family n friends.

I can't see any flags on our relationship per se. I'm sure there are a couple, maybe a few, but i'm biased and can't see past it all.

Cheronda, I think Darnell is the one who suggested it. Or one of the VJers going through Vietnam. I don't know. Bangkok isn't a difficult embassy. They don't require it, but we're having it available at the interview. It's the perfect way for them to see that we have taken the time to create a real relationship. Then if they want to see pictures or read e-mails and cards in a foreign language, then their welcome to do so. Lagos is a difficult embassy. I think you and your husband should definitely write letters. Make sure your timelines are mostly the same; use the dates you view as important. Keep the details to a minimum, but still include your relevant feelings. And preview each other's letter before printing and signing.

AUS, in the interview e-mail is a PDF file. It lists what NVC has received and what you need to bring to the interview. It's the bare minimum. I think in this day and age they expect people to use the embassy and NVC websites to gain information. There's also a P4 some embassies send to IV applicants that has a checklist in it and instructions for the medical.

If you're good with the Hater Goggle check and happy with the amount of your evidence, then take a break, hon. You've earned it. The e-mail will magically show up and make you  for hours. If you want, you can organize your evidence. Print out your call history and start highlighting the calls to each other. That's what took me the most time (and several highlighters). Maybe put your photos into a photo editor and add descriptive captions to them. We put our names, dates of birth, and case number on every page we're submitting as evidence. I wish I had thought to print tiny labels for that. Ummm... I think I'm out of ideas for the night. Relax, dear. You'll slowly start freaking out as the interview creeps closer. No need to start just yet.

Okay...more question for the evidence...is it okay to print digital pictures on plain paper instead of having them in a photo album? I am thinking about printing 2 pictures per each letter size paper and I can write caption/tag dates/details on it. And put all these pages with pictures in a clear view folder. I have one that has 60 pockets. Thinking about just organize them per each trip I took to visit Hubby in Hong Kong--boarding passes, hotel receipts, then pictures for that trip. Then another separate smaller album just for the wedding pictures. You guys think this is okay? or do I have to print out all my digital pictures in photo paper and put them in an actual photo album?

I'm so confused and stressed. I'm leaving US in about 10 days and it seems like I didn't have much organized yet for hubby's interview...so worried...
