yea congrats to those who got SIF this week. i was really hoping for SIF this friday but unfortunately they're still reviweing it since may 18 so by monday i'm hoping i'll get the SIF>>>> no RFE's plzzz

2010-04-19: approved online wohoooo

2010-04-24: NOA2 hardcopy received

2010-04-26: gave 2 email addresses and assigned case #

2010-04-27: received/sent ds3032, AOS bill

2010-05-01: IV bill became available online/paid

2010-05-06: sent in DS230 package via express mail 9:07am

2010-05-11: NVC acknowledges the receipt of AOS on 05/05

2010-05-13: operator told me that AOS sent to supervisor for review....

2010-05-14: AVR changes to received the checklist letter response on 5/13

2010-05-23: RFE for original birth cert. (i did sent original).......arghhh

2010-05-24: BC under review by some department

2010-06-02: sent in original BC again and previous BC is still under review

2010-06-10: NVC recognizes BC into their system

2010-06-15: BC under review

2010-06-21: SIF!!!!!omggggg soo happy 57 days in NVC process

2010-06-28: interview on Aug. 19, 8am.

2010-08-19: interview went fine but he's put into AP :(

2011-01-09: almost 5 months in AP "still pending"

2011-02-06: 5 and half months and still counting......when is this torture going to end....

2011-02-20: 6 months still no answer..........

2011-03-08: more than 200 days passed in AP..................(

2011-03-24: visa has been issued today. hurayyyyyyyyyy finally wait is overrrr.

Our DS230 Was received on may 12th at NVC... AVR still showed "awaiting biographic info" as of May 19th... we got a checklist letter requesting DS-230 yesterday.. is that common?

Same thing happened to us. It took them 2 weeks to OPEN our 230 package!

If you speak to an operator, he or she can give you more up-to-date info than the AVR.

Hope to a sign in fail by monday. :yes: I will be departing for Cairo on Tuesday morning! :o Omg, the time is going by so quick. I am so busy this weekend. no email. if the operator told you would, they LIED. they told me i would get an email. it is not true. the only thing you get is the updated AVR when the package has arrived at the embassy.

you can call the NVC everyday to ask if they sent it out. they will say very soon if it will be sent soon.

and if they do to you what they did to me, they will lie about the day they send it. they told me 4 days after it was sent that they sent it.

so track the DHL and call NVC and hope to get accurate information!

you can get all sorts of inaccurate correspondence requesting things you already sent. you are probably fine, but you should maybe call and confirm with the NVC op that it is a false RFE

That sounds like the typical NVC response. I got the same thing because they process the I-864 packet first and that sends up the flag for the DS-230. Just keep checking the AVR or (like me) call and bug the fine people there :rofl:

I dunno, if she's jumping from Romania - I'd be concerned about the Volcano Ash. You might want to get her a EuroRail Pass, jump the train to Liverpool, then boat ferry to Ireland, then plane ride from Ireland to NYC.

Volcanic ash sucks - it says so, right there on the label :(

I see. I have tracked a package going to my embassy on May 12th which was the day I had my case complete. But AVR didn't change from case complete to package received by embassy. I haven't asked an operator about if they sent my package to the embassy. May be on Monday morning I will call and find out.

Salam everyone, how do you track your case going to the embassy? We dont mail it NVC does, so how would i track it? Also, we finally got our sign in failure page this past week, i updated my signature. Im so happy finally. We have been in the NVC stage since October 2009. So hopefully my husband passes his interview. Do i need to send him copies of all the documents sent to NVC to have for his interview?
