Alright, I just called and got it figured out.

Wish I didn't forget the operators name, she was so nice and an excellent help.

I'll post the update and explain what happened in a little bit. Got to take care of something else at the moment.

I'm late on this but I also got the same message when I sent in the Choice of Agent form (via email) and didn't put the dob and name of both of us. So I just resubmitted with that information. I'm glad you got it figured out though. I'm waiting anxiously for your update.

Oh, no, do you have a tracking number for it? Was it delivered to them?

The operators have no record of it?

I will say a prayer for you.

I really wish I was but it would be so hard to travel with a baby that far. He plans to come home as soon as he gets his visa.

Yes, Gisele is a really good baby & most of the nights sleeps through the whole night unless she goes to bed around 8pm or so then she will wake up. How about little Bryce?

Yes! He sleeps through the night. He still sleeps in the room with me so I wonder how it will be when I move him to his room. I'm actually dreading doing that! I'll miss his little snoring. LOL. It's like our babies knew they had to be easy on us because we were already going crazy with this NVC stuff! Thank God for our little angels.

I agree!

Same thing, I got us a 2 bedroom so I too wonder how Gisele will be in her own room. I too will miss her right next to me.

Cixelsyd, did you get some good news?

****S*D****, thanks for posting the suggestions on how to book cheap airfaire!

Well, it's news at least.

Alright, sorry about the delay. I had to/wanted to call the Mrs and then zip back to work.

Anyway, so as I mentioned, I spoke to a very nice and helpful operator over the phone. So much better than the guy from yesterday that was just like "uuh dunno, call back later when I'm not here, I'll have sent it to a supervisor by then".

Like a few people mentioned, this happens when you don't put the correct date of birth or something like that. It also happens when you don't send in a Cover sheet with your RFE.

Basically I thought the Check List was the cover letter; turns out you need both. In my case, I should have sent in the DS-230 cover letter with my RFE (since it was associated with the DS-230).

I asked her if I needed to send anything in. She explained I wouldn't have to because they're probably in the process of locating which case my RFE belongs to (good thing for writing the case number in the corner of each page) and they'll print out a cover sheet to go with it.

All in all, she estimated I should call back in about 10 business days. She also told me that's all that needs to be done, since everything else is good to go and I'll CC after that. I think she said I may CC in roughly 10 business days. I can't remember, I was just so happy to realize my RFE didn't pull a Houdini, like the other guy eluded to.

So this explains the long delay with my case and all that stuff.

Moral of the story: Attach the check list AND the cover letter.

*wiping my brow* whoo! I always hold my breath for stuff like this just in case I did something similar. I'm glad they found your paperwork and that you're ok. You'll be SIFing soon!

By cover letter you mean your own document explaining what the package contains?

I hope it won't take them 10 days to look over it!! Especially now that they found it, someone could just check to make sure it was issued by the proper place and what it says.

 Just got a email from NVCInquiry half hour ago, yep, it is my P4... Interview Date is JUNE 21,2010 07:30am. Thank God! It is a June Interview

Should we book plane ticket right away? It is pretty expersive during June-August! Only July 07-09, the Continental Airlines has some cheaper tickets, but, also more than $1,000, plus taxs and fees, totally is $1,135.80. One-way, yep, pretty expensive!!

Yes, if your significant other plans on coming over right after the interview, the sooner you buy the ticket, the better! Prices will go up (even more) as time goes by! Are there traveling agencies that specialize in travel from that region? Sometimes they can get competitive deals.

Congratulations on getting an interview day already!

Guangzhou IV Unit is a strange place - I'd hold off getting a ticket until AFTER she has passport with visa stamp in it.

I know - everyone hopes for Pink Slip on Interview Day - I'd never suggest that won't happen - but.

If there's any blue slip for evidence - well BAM! There's 1 to 4 months lost , then

She might be put into AP even after a successful interview , also

The ink on the visa printer might need to be replaced or

The mailroom is super slow for two weeks for getting things out into EMS.

IMO, it's just to risky to book em.

China Southern does have some deals through ctrip.com for new immigrants, though - you might want to look into that (it's visible on the chinese portal, not visible on the english portal). Usually CAN to LAX, cheap cheap.

Congratulations !!!! and Good Luck with the rest of it !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
