While submitting DS230 forms and documents.

DO we need to submit all photocopy of all the pages of passport to NVC or only the datasheets and PCC Stamp page?

Only the biographic page is needed, not all the passport pages. I made copies of everything, all the civil documents that I included (I ended up translating them, so I photocopied those as well).

I started with her birthday and went until a few months after 16, when she left her hometown. I hope they will just ask that my mom bring a new, updated copy at the interview. Thanks!

Hope all will be okay!

LOL, nah, you'll probably SIF before me. When I called to check on my case on Monday or so, I asked to speak to a supervisor because the operator wasn't giving me anything useful. Since I asked to SPEAK to a supervisor, they now put in the system that I wanted my case to be REVIEWED by a supervisor! So now they said that is another 2 weeks from the day that they assigned it to a supervisor! IDIOTS. But who knows, maybe it will go more quickly...How often do you call?

I haven't called to talk to an actual person, since I figure it's almost useless. I just call the AVR once a day, just because I'm curious if they've changed any status or whatever.

Mostly I just check for the SIF.

I don't think you'll be delayed any more than anyone else. They were giving the same line to Ally and she completed in roughly the same time that they're completing cases. I'm not sure the whole supervisor thing makes any difference at all. They're probably just making garbage up for whatever reason.

By accident found this site where it give info on Police Certificates from every country;

http://www.canadavisa.com/canadian-immigration-police-clearance.html#I

Hmmm, this further leads me to believe that NO ONE knows what they are talking about! LOL. Look at this link from the Vietnam consulate, they say that police reports from Bangladesh aren't available for non Bangladesh citizens (I used Bangladesh as a personal example) but Canada says they ARE available...

I hope not. I think you're right about making stuff up. It is really frustrating to get so many different answers! I am promising myself that I won't call until next week. I doubt that I'll hold out though. I'm an NVC FIEND--gotta have my daily fix!:help: me please!!!

just got off the phone with NVC... they somehow have my Italian husband confused for a Libyan national?

I think they finally understand why we cannot obtain a Libyan birth record for a birth transcribed in ITALY!!! I even have a letter from Italian consulate in Tripoli!!!!!

On our way to DHL packet for 3 RFE's - pulease let this be over already!!

Also per supervisor's advice - sending in scanned version of Maldives police report with explanation including all the reasons why Maldives hasn't mailed the report:

I am at a conference

the printer is broken

I already sent it

the next day: maybe i will send it tomorrow

I am the only one hear

I don't know maybe next week.

That;s crazy. How to get a certificate from Libya when his certificate was transcribed in Italy?

Did the supervisor actually tell you to use one of those reasons to explain why they dont have the paper copy of the Maldives PCC? Very weird.

From the day you turned 16 you have to list every address you had if you were there for 6 months or more and get a police certificate for each one.

The PCC/police report is requested for places lived 12 months or more - other locations just need to be documented in Question #30

Exactly - they had my husband documented as a Libyan National!!! He is Italian born overseas in Tripoli to two Italian parents!!!

The supervisor said to explain why I was including only a scanned copy of the PCC from Maldives.

I'm guessing now that they have realized he's not a Libyan national, the PCC from the Maldives will not be as critical.

Boo NVC.

Is there a possibility of a SIF on weekends? I've heard they work on processing paperwork on weekends... correct?

Hey everyone! Just home from work and checking in!

Still no interview date for us, but I'm really not surprised by that.

As for that "supervisor review" answer from NVC, I think it's just some kind of BS to make us all crazy! I did the same thing... asked to SPEAK to a supervisor and it turned into that review. How stupid!
