Thank you everyone for your congratulations - I'm so relieved.

My personal opinion as to why NVC is backed up is because when planes began flying again after the volcano, they were faced with an influx of paperwork from Europe all at once.

As far as the interview date goes, London Embassy just happened to be on top of things at the right time for us! I believe everyone will get dates...London just won the race (or came in second, I think I saw Australia first). Flood gates are going to open up now!!

Congrats to everyone with interview dates ... :star:

Went and had our medicals today ... there's 3 hours of my life I won't get back and $800 down the drain. Best thing about the day ... my parking in the city only cost $7 because they give a discount if you're going to the medical centre ...

That's good to know.. Is that the sofitel car park?

Did you have a fun walk through the hotel? ;P

I was just bored and was playing around with the DHL track packages link...I do see a lot of packages got sent out today from the NVC, but it seems like only one of us got an interview date...wondered if NVC just forgot to e-mail us the date...?

Can anyone tell me how to do the DHL tracking?

Or maybe if someone else has looked... did anything go to Jordan? (We had CC on May 11)

Go to this site: http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

At Reference field, put in: EXP 11 MAY 2010A (remember to put the space in between!), or just change the date around to see if anything comes up. Change around the pick up date range to be around May 10 or whatever date you want to check--FYI, it can't be a future date though.

I do see one that got sent to Amman, Jordan processed on May 12, 4:39pm; But there's no way to tell if that is yours or not though.

Good luck...I'm also waiting on my interview date too...

From LinChe NVC ShortCut:

NVC sets an appointment date for you and sends out your package to the US Embassy.

If you're really #######, paranoid, or just a busybody, you can track the package status. You can use the date after your interview was assigned, as the tracking reference date, and then do a search on DHL. The format to use is "EXP 07 OCT 2008A" don't forget the spaces...and to set the date range on the tracking page. The website for tracking is. http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef The package may not go out on the next day, but the reference code will still be for that date. When your package is able to be tracked, it will make more sense. You'll see a list of packages going to different embassies. You'll know which one is yours.

Thank you!

I checked it and it worked. I hope it is our package. I don't think there are a lot of these cases for Jordan right now, so I feel good about it.

Also hope and pray we get those dates soon!

I don't really care if it's June or July... I would just like to see something and start making plans!

I'm trying not to let my hope up though...I saw 1 package (with the reference date being 10) going to Hong Kong too on the 12th....But our case was completed on the 6th. But then when I tried to put in other date for the reference number, nothing comes up...I have no idea how busy Hong Kong embassy is though as there isn't a lot of member from Hong Kong at all...anyway, it's just that from the shortcut, you are supposed to have the interview date first and assigned, then the package is sent. If that package is indeed ours, it seems like the process is reversed though. So, I'm trying not to let my hope up, as I really don't want to be disappointed...

Trying to wait till next Monday before call NVC again...Good luck and best wishes to you though!
