Ya - Scheduling for EP cases headed to Guangzhou - USUALLY the appointment date is between 3 to 5 weeks from 'appointment date set' date.

There is no waiting on the 2nd week of the Month - NVC does it, sets the appointment, within 3 to 5 days of 'case complete at NVC' time tick. It's a fun anomoly, one of the benefits of having an EP case at NVC.

The waiting it's been so long that now I don't feel confident... I blame the NVC.

Need help!!

We send in the DS230 package and the AVR said it received on May 4th. Today, I called NVC to confirm with the operators. They said they don't see a package received. Does anyone have experience before the AVR would report differently than what the operator sees? I failed to understand this. Here is the unsure part from us: When the DS230 request email come along, it comes with 3 different cover letter. We used the "Attn: DR" checklist cover page to put on top of the package, the rest of the cover page, we left them at the end of the package. Does it make any difference? What is causing the different status from AVR and the operator's system? Any thing we can do to rectify the situation? Any help would be appreciated!

It has been the experience of a couple members that the operators don't always know what they are talking about.

I would suspect if the AVR says it has been received, then someone somewhere is processing it appropriately etc...

As for the cover pages:

I can only really think of 1 or 2 from memory (excluding the cover page that goes with the I-864 packet). I believe in theory they're supposed to go on top. I don't think that's a make a break issue however. Probably just annoying for someone to remove it from the back and attach it to the front .

Anyway, I'll let some others weigh in on this.

I agree that some operators don't know what they are talking about!

I say call again and speak to someone else. It took me 3 operators to find out what they needed from us - our marriage contract. The first operator even told me that my husband sent the wrong birth certificate! There is only one place to get the birth cert in Jordan... so I kept calling until I knew what we needed.
