Soooo.... Today sucks.

I woke up to a text message that my best friend and her husband want the phone number to call to revoke their sponsorship. Because I didn't go out with them last night so now they feel I'm using them to get Husby here. I'm sorry.... WHAT THE FACK?! We've been friends for years. Before I even considered the possibility of Husby and I spending our lives together. And now this?! Already I wasn't wanting to have them be joint sponsors, but now they want to cut all ties to me.

So, needless to say, they're pulling their sponsorship. Mother isn't feeling "right" about being joint sponsor. Dad has already said flat out that he will not put his finances on the line, but he will help provide Husby with employment once he gets here. Monday I'm applying for a part-time job at a hospital. Nights, every other week if I can get it. I can quit later, right, as long as Husby doesn't become a burden on society?

Kari, so sorry to hear this. I hope you can work something out quickly. A lot of us have had to deal with uncooperative joint sponsors. I can't believe they'd add to your stress at this last minute. Hang in there.

Thank you, guys. You guys are amazing! Y'all understand how messed up this whole process is. It'll get better; I have faith in that.

And!! Interviews are coming up! There's gonna be tons of great news! I can't wait to see all the SIFs, interview notices, and visa approvals next week. Yay!!!

Tatyana, Cheronda, MSP, and all of the other Mommies here with us, Happy Mother's Day! You all are very strong women to have your children with you while being apart from your husbands. I hope your families are reunited soon, never to be apart again.

NVC received the last package on May 06, waiting for case completely ...

This is NVC EP case

I predict 'case complete' on the 14th, with 'appointment date set' on the 18th or 19th.

Maybe is time to buy them a case of wine? Check yer local 'discount food market' - is some stuff coming in from Australia, Chile and Italy for 3 bucks/bottle (36 bucks/case) for da Red .. Sorry about the best friend - it sucks, but I think this type of gift would be useful.

Now I need to call NVC on Monday first thing to clear this up...hopefully I won't miss the June interview assign date....this whole process is so confusing and depressing...I can't wait for this to be over and my hubby here with me....

When you call in, ask for Supervisor - only a supervisor can attempt to clear THAT particular hold on the casefile.

Today I gave my lawyer all the documents and paperwork for NVC. She will mail the package on Monday. I'm very excited to finally be getting started with NVC. I had trouble finding a co-sponsor and it took me a couple of months after I got my NOA2 to find one. I am hoping that I fly through NVC. Please wish me luck and good luck to all of you.

If you had called in to NVC, prior, exchanged emails with a tele-operator -

you could have, at least, paid online whilst you were waiting.

I remember reading somewhere that the income amount for personal sponsorship is what you project you will make. You can also use personal assets.
