Guys, I just called AVR and find out I have a RFE, then I called an operator to find out what is this RFE for. She said it is for original marriage certificate and for BC. I have sent all originals with translations. I don't understand what the heck they are asking for. we sent the original birth certificate of my husband which is 26 years old document and a original marriage certificate which we received the day we got married.

Operator told me that she will ask a supervisor to review it again and it will take another two weeks or so.

I am so stressed out now. Do you guys have any suggestions for me to do before waiting two weeks? :crying:

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't have any suggestions except for to keep calling until you get an answer as to what is wrong with what you submitted! Maybe the escalation to a supervisor will speed things up instead of slow them down? Wishing you the best, I know it isn't easy to be left in the dark!

That is amazing! I don't know why they are being so proactive Kari but hey, more power to 'em! Now if they would just get PROACTIVE on my case, I'd be cool!

I'm wondering my self too, Like I side I got 5 emails in row asking for my DS-230. Maybe they run out of cases to work on and are bored and looking for work...ha ha!

NVC called me on my cell phone today regarding the status of my application. the lady told me that they received everything and my case is under review. Wow... thats great. Hope they will call me again when the case get completed.

wow they CALLED???? cool!

they were proactive in emailing me to request that i send in my IV PACK. i had paid the bill but had not sent in the docs yet at that time. so within about 2 weeks of paying it, they were asking me to send it all in. so they CAN be proactive....i guess?

HEY!!

i would call the NVC and ask again, say you already sent the stuff. if they don't have it fixed yet, immediately request to talk to the supervisor.

the supervisor can then get on the case right away and you can have a CC in like 2 days!!! so go ahead and call again!!!

i m calling now to find out what's going on.

Please call again!

It took 3 operators for me to find out what was missing.

First said the birthcert was wrong and it wasn't.

2nd said no marriage cert and it was there.

3rd finally sorted out I needed the original marriage contract.

I am under the supervisor review now. This makes 2 weeks today.

Ive been gone all day and all Ive checked so far is that I DONT have the SIF yet. Kiss the June interview good-bye!

I am calling NVC now I think.

The operator I got sounded like he was just a kid and he was not very up on his job... nice yes, but not really helpful. I think the vjers know more about the processing than he did!

Oh well, maybe I will call back at 11 tonight!

Today I gave my lawyer all the documents and paperwork for NVC. She will mail the package on Monday. I'm very excited to finally be getting started with NVC. I had trouble finding a co-sponsor and it took me a couple of months after I got my NOA2 to find one. I am hoping that I fly through NVC. Please wish me luck and good luck to all of you.

Anuedy - still no interview date? ... :star:

To all others who have escalated to a Supervisor, they took 2 weeks with mine and it escalated to a Supervisor and the Consulate and I got an interview date and a CC all within 2 days of each other so keep the faith. It may seem longer but it can also be a blessing ... :star:
