NVC is killing me. I sent DS230 and all the civil documents on April 26th and they received everything on April 28. I waited for couple days for a change in AVR. Today they updated the AVR saying that they received all the information and is currently under review. I called them and the representive told me that they are still waiting for DS230. This is really confusing me. I know they received and its being signed and the AVR has been updated but still saying they havent got my stuff yet.............. Oh god, I just cant believe this. Hopefully they will fix this in couple days. Any thoughts?

it's only been a week, so don't worry yet. when i sent in my AOS, the operator still did not see that they had received it a week after i sent it. just chill for a bit. if the AVR updated, it should be fine.

don't waste time calling them constantly. relax! for now!

Thanks, Vanessa! I should have all my documents in order by Friday and then will use the weekend to review them. I fly to Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

Anyone did the medical test in chennai? They didn't give the medical report in the sealed envelope. They are saying, they usually don't give it in the sealed envelope. But website says it should be in the sealed envelope. Who is correct? Anyone received the report in the sealed envelope?

Also chennai VFS is not accepting any documents and they wants just the vfs courier fee only. They are saying that, since the case is handled by NVC, they don't accept any documents. Which is true?

Last night I came home from work to more internet and phone trouble and couldn't be with my husband again this morning and now have to have a technician come check my modem some time today!

As much as I want to call NVC to see if anything has changed, I just can't seem to do it. Starting to feel like this will NEVER end! After waiting almost 5 months for our NOA2, I was hoping this would be the easy part!

I really feel down this morning.

As much as I want to call NVC to see if anything has changed, I just can't seem to do it. Starting to feel like this will NEVER end! After waiting almost 5 months for our NOA2, I was hoping this would be the easy part!

I really feel down this morning.

Don't give up! It will end - just seems like forever right now. Every time I start to get down about the wait, and being without my husband, I keep reminding myself that this will be the last time we are apart.

Hey, hang in there lady! I know its hard but you'll look back when he's here and this time won't even seem like that long. I keep telling myself to just stay distracted but I know how hard it can be when your routine is broken. The network isn't the best in Nigeria so there are some days when we don't have our regular communication and it can kind of throw you off balance. It also helps me to just daydream. I think about what a normal day will be when he does arrive. But then I have to snap out of it and back to work! LOL.

I gave in and called nvc. After almost 20 minutes on hold, I THINK I got some good news.

I am still in supervisor review for 10-15 days (I think this is day 9 or 10). I told the operator I was hoping for case complete by Friday to get the interview date next week so I could ask for vacation time.

She said we have a chance at that because "everything is in the department."

I have no idea what that means exactly, maybe it's on the supervisor's desk? (I pray!)

But it sounded good and made me smile!

If anyine knows what that statement means... that everything is in the department... please let me know!

My guess is that it means they are not awaiting any other information from you and all they need is within the department. Now if only someone could sit down and take a look at it!

You and me both need that CC by Friday. I keep telling myself the average says we'll have it by next week. But it would definitely be much better/easier for us to have CC this week.

Sounds like it may be good news, at least we know it's possible to have it by Friday.
