is not May 10th yet?

Almost, hon. Keep the faith.

Did anyone do this? When they got a false RFE for the DS-230 after the I864 was submitted (because the DS-230 wasn't submitted at the time) did you submit the DS-230 as a checklist response or via the normal route, meaning to the Attn:CMR? I am thinking that if I had submitted the DS-230 as a checklist response, it would have been entered quicker. Any thoughts?

I sent it to the regular address. No problems.

OK. I think I have decided NVC is as bad as USCIS!

When I started calling about my RFE on the 23rd and the first operator told me my husband's birth certificate was wrong, I asked for a supervisor. By the time I spoke to 2 more operators, I knew I needed to send the original marriage contract.

Sooo, I just spoke to an operator who said we are under a supervisor review by my request (I didn't ask for a review, just to SPEAK to one and never got to do so)! Now it may be another 3-8 business days before the review is done!

I am so upset! I didn't ask for review and now my marriage contract is there (which is the last thing we needed to finish) and I don't think we will case complete this week!

I have the WORST luck!

I think this is actually better. Tatyana had her case reviewed by a supervisor and was CC shortly thereafter. Just be sure to keep on top of it.

Just when I feel the lowest... a sweet surprise.

A card from Mohsin in the mail!

He usually tells me when he sends one, but this one was a surprise that I really needed today! :)

Awww! What a great guy!

Then again "common sense" and "USCIS/NVC" usually do not get used together much!

So true!

hola

so whats new here besides the stress??

hubby bought his ticket to come to the interview ( from June 12th -June 20th) remember is MANDATORY that the petitioner is at the interview in Dominican Rep.

so the plan is he arrives in Santo Domingo on the 12th we go home to the north of the island then we come back on the 14th to Santo Domingo check in at the hotel, on the 15th I need to go pick the medicals and to pay a US$15.00 fee in Popular Bank for check of my file ..on the 16th is the interview with the help of my Lord I can pick the Visa on Friday or Monday... I should be back to work on the 22nd.. at the moment we dont know if we go home after the 16th or go to the beach apartment and wait for the visa.. I already make the appointment in the hotel for 3 nights (14-16) is close to the embassy..I did not want to stay in the apartment that my family had in Santo Domingo because is almost 40 minutes away from the embassy and at that time in the morning is not safe ...well thats it for now..

You're so organized, Julissa! You're going to do great!

You remind me of my husband.

He likes living in one of the provinces next to Bangkok rather than in Bangkok itself. He says it's busy and noisy. Of course, then he goes and complains about having to drive an hour or so to go to court there.

I'm starting to be jealous of the places where the visa is issued the same day. Bangkok takes 3 days to issue the visa. Of course, it's better than AP, right? Be thankful for the small things...

 Okay, I think I've been very patient all this time...but I now feel as if I've taken crazy pills. I'm starting to obsess about this now! I can't concentrate on my work, I can't plan, way to anxious and nervous. I'm going to have so much work to do in the next 3 weeks before I depart for Egypt...and right now, I'm procrastinating BIG Time! I'm going to be stressing so much later, I know it. I should be move involved with my graduating seniors, but all I can think about it leaving the US...and I feel guilty about this. I wish I could just go to sleep tonight and wake up in Egypt. Is this some type of depression or something? I feel like my mind is on auto pilot mode or something...so strange...hope I feel better tomorrow. I think I need to jump in a cold river somewhere! :bonk:

morning morning morning

Seems the craziness is starting to seep into many of us still on the chopping block for SIF/LIF - Interview date.

Not to fear however, the last mile of the race is always the hardest.

Although I am wondering if something to do with the time of year messes with your mind. I find I go through different mental states and can't point to any rhyme or reason why. Yet lately it's been an even stranger one than previous waiting sessions.

Ah hell well, in the end there isn't anything to do about it anyhow. Just ride the crazy roller coaster until we hit the end. So if you're peering out your window looking for the guys with the white coat, don't feel alone.

 Okay, I think I've been very patient all this time...but I now feel as if I've taken crazy pills. I'm starting to obsess about this now! I can't concentrate on my work, I can't plan, way to anxious and nervous. First of all, I believe it's normal. You have to remember that this is a one-time experience and not the way your life will be forever. I think once you get your sign in fail and interview date, you're going to feel a lot better. That's what happened to me. But I've been a really emotional up and down person this school year but I'm really trying to work on it. What's helping me is knowing it's getting close. All year has been just like legalized torture thinking about how long my husband and I were going to be apart, how much I miss him, how overwhelming this whole process can be, and how no one here seems quite to understand it. They try and they want to be supportive but usually they just don't get why it's so stressful. My point, where it pertains to you, is to let you know that you're normal and that you need to give yourself a break. Get rid of the guilt because that's only going to bog you down and you have nothing to feel guilty for. You miss your husband and want to see him. That's a good thing! But, if you can figure out how to live in the moment then you won't miss the special memories you could be creating with your students as they prepare to graduate. Remember, you only have a matter of days before you are reunited so enjoy each day you have and take it as a blessing. At least you know it won't be an unknown amount of months before you see him...it's a matter of days. So put a smile in your heart and count the blessings you DO have and soon I think you'll be able to pull yourself out of the stress and be able to get work done again. Just stop worrying...it serves no purpose but to waste time and stress you out. I know it's easier said than done but really count the blessings you do have...list them out if you need to...and it really does help! Have a great day today!
