hola

so whats new here besides the stress??

hubby bought his ticket to come to the interview ( from June 12th -June 20th) remember is MANDATORY that the petitioner is at the interview in Dominican Rep.

so the plan is he arrives in Santo Domingo on the 12th we go home to the north of the island then we come back on the 14th to Santo Domingo check in at the hotel, on the 15th I need to go pick the medicals and to pay a US$15.00 fee in Popular Bank for check of my file ..on the 16th is the interview with the help of my Lord I can pick the Visa on Friday or Monday... I should be back to work on the 22nd.. at the moment we dont know if we go home after the 16th or go to the beach apartment and wait for the visa.. I already make the appointment in the hotel for 3 nights (14-16) is close to the embassy..I did not want to stay in the apartment that my family had in Santo Domingo because is almost 40 minutes away from the embassy and at that time in the morning is not safe ...well thats it for now..

I thought about moving to Nigeria as well. But I really have a good job! I do know that if, God forbid, he isn't given a visa, I will CERTAINLY be moving with my husband! This whole living apart thing is working on my nerves. We should definitely keep in touch, although I think that you'll be finished before me. Stay encouraged, you'll be finished soon.

Maybe we will finish up the same day!

My job doesn't really keep me here and I already know I could teach in Jordan. But I have a granddaughter due in early July, so it would be hard to leave the baby and my kids and parents. But as you said, IF his visa doesn't come thru, I will go.

I have even considered staying if we get AP (and we most likely will, considering the country).

So many things to think about!

I just called (couldn't wait until Tuesday and definitely not Friday!) and they said they still don't show anything in the system about receiving my DS-230 package! I knew I should have sent it as a checklist response. :bonk: I think that is an unofficial shortcut to getting your DS-230 processed quicker. Too bad I didn't think about it until AFTER I sent it in...Alright, enough work for me today, I'm going home!

Hey, congrats on the granddaughter! I know what you mean about leaving parents. Being the eldest, my hubby likes to be away from his parents, chart his own course so to speak so he doesn't mind coming here but I would miss my mama and daddy! *smile* I sound like a little kid huh? Plus, I really like having electricity and hot water on command! Know what I'm sayin'?

I feel for you... it took them 2 weeks to open our 230!

Won't you be so happy for this to be over? I feel like my life is on hold and even though I've been married a year, I haven't really even experienced the marriage. Thats why I love coming here. Folks understand my frustration! Ok, I'm really leaving work now!

I can't wait for this to end and start a normal life.

Right now I get up at 3am every day to see my husband online for 2 hours before we go to work. Then if I have a later shift, it's back to bed another hour or two. If it's an early shift, I am scrambling to get ready to go in time.

What a life!

The things we do for love!
