Vanessa, don't worry about what Deb wrote. It actually was uncalled for. 'harass NVC'? you've got to be kidding me. Everyone obsesses and is anxious in every step of this process. These threads should be used to post your stesses and worries and get help and support. You have my support. ;) You can call them as many times as you want, you can check the DHL website as much as you want. Gathering documents is something no one wants to do over again. The NVC is open till midnight, don't see how thats an inconvience for some. Keep us all posted :P

Thank you everyone for your support! I do understand Deb's point though about trying not to stress throughout the process and I do really appreciate that sentiment. I just disagreed about the calling is all. I have an important reason for wanting to know where our documents are and making sure they are safe and I feel anyone would have the same concerns. I called NVC because I was hoping for a tracking number since I knew it won't be at the embassy yet. I'm just going to give it a few days and make sure it arrived at the embassy and will call them first. If so, then I'm a happy woman to never have to call NVC again! If not, then I'll be on the phone again and raising a little heck until it is located. It's important to me and, like Ally said, it has sentimental value too. Thanks again everyone and thanks Deb for the reminder to take a deep breath and try not to go crazy in the process!

So we sent our IV Package (DS-230 and Civil Documents) on May 4th and it reached NVC on the morning of May 5th.

But in the evening yesterday (May 5th) we got an email from NVC attorney with a Checklist Cover Sheet attached and a message saying we do not have your DS-230 and civil documents.

So nice of them to remind us! :)

Has that happened to anyone? What is the right thing to do in this situation? Just ignore the notification which was clearly generated before our package got "in the system"?

I called NVC and they said just wait for a few days. The rep said just ignore the notification. So I guess we will just wait for a few days.

My concern is that we sent our IV package with the cover sheet we printed from the Fee Payment page. However NVC sent a different cover sheet with yesterday's notification. Would they be expecting us to send documents with the new cover sheet? Would our documents be directed to the right place even though we used the Fee Payment cover sheet? It had a barcode on it and everything so it should work. Except that it said Attn: CMR whereas the one we got yesterday says Attn: DR and instead of 32 in the address, it has 31.

Be patient. It took 2 weeks for them to even OPEN our DS230 package!

I called and asked about the cover sheet because I did the same thing. The operator said either one is ok! :)

It's fine. Just ignore the checklist. It'll end up where it's supposed to be. SIF for ya on May 18th, barring any RFEs!

FYI: They DO keep a log of how many times you call so you don't want to be calling too many times a day.

Vanessa--You can always check the AVR which will tell you when your package has been forwarded to the Embassy.

You're not gonna get a tracking # out of some NVC drone. We get that you're worried about your originals, all of us are. Nobody wants to run around AFTER this process is over, trying to get new birth certificates and marriage certificates.

Your interview is practically two months away. Most likely, it won't be sent out for another couple of weeks. It's probably sitting safely at NVC.

Relax. And don't stress.

Happy weekend, y'all.

Sorry hun, 10 business days on average. Might get lucky and make it in 8. NVC seems to be picking up a bit.

I so agree.

For me the not knowing is the worst. I need to ask for time off from work to go to the interview, but with no date... It's just frustrating!

It arrived the 26th, and they show it there on the 29th.

I am worried because they SAY I requested a supervisor review on the 23rd. Although I only asked to SPEAK to a supervisor, it couldn't be changed when I found that out this week. They told me 3-8 more days Monday when I called. And yesterday they told me everthing was "in the department".

If all is well, you should have a SIF by tomorrow as well.

But I don't know about these supervisor review thingies, those mess up my averages a bit.
