urgent...I-130 sent to the wrong attn

Hello,

My husband had finally finished our I-130 recently,but when he was on his way to send it,he got confused and sent it to the same address,same building but wrong department i think(wrong attn),he should've sent it to this address

USCIS Lockbox

Attn: SAI-130

131 South Dearborn – 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-551

but instead he sent it to this one:-

USCIS

Attn: FBAS

131 South Dearborn- 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

so now we don't know what to do,we don't have a duplicate,it took us around 3 months to arrange the appropriate paper and all,and we don't know what should we expect,would they just get it to the right department,or would they send it back to us,or would they not work on it at all,and not even send it back?and how long could it take them if they were to send it back?

Oh I am sorry to hear that!!! Isn't there a phone number there that you can call or e-mail to send to someone there? I think you may be ok, but it sure may delay the process.. Good luck

me..too before.. i send it to the wrong address... at the old old address.. at USCIS laguna niguel CA. thats in the intruction where to file..then i called them.. if they will send it back my application.. and they said.. yes it will be rejected.. i wait like 2 weeks for my application to arrive.. but when i check my bank account.. i see that the check has been cashed.. the day after the check has been cash i got my noa1..

in your case.. iether reject it.. of forward it to the right address..

Thanks for your reply so much,it put me into comfort:)i'm still wondering though,if the petition is to be rejected,do they send it back to us?and if they do,how long would that take them to do that?would it take long to move it to a different department?!

Well did anyone do this too?what happened to you?did they reject it and send it back?did they not work on it nor send it back?did they just send it to the right address and worked on it?how long did it take them to do any of that?Any advice would help,Thanks!!

in my case.. they didnt sent is back... they forward it into the right address... so.. maybe wait like 1-2 weeks... and keep checking your bank acount..

heyyy jay & ann my husband said they cashed the check today,does that mean that they sent it to the right address and we're gonna get our noa1?or that the wrong deparment cashed it and we'd be getting a wrong noa1?or what?!!! Thanks:)

ok..they stamped the receipt no# on the back of the check starting 3 letters. for example WAC445515145 something like that... write it down.. then go to the USCIS website to check the status.. your gonna be ok...
