My wife wants to change her name to add my name - after we received our first NOTICE OF ACTION for the I-130.

She is saying on her identity card which will be issued next week and on her passport which will be issued sometime after that -- that it shouldn't be an issue because her friends did the same thing. Is this in fact true based on your experiences?

~~~Any other tips after filing the I-130? My wife is in Pakistan, any Pakistani experiences?~~~
I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks Again!
I don't think it would hurt. There should be a phone number of your NOA1 that you can call USCIS and ask.
Another alternative is to wait until she is about to become a citizen and do it on the N-400. That will take a few years though.
By the way, a cheap trick to call anywhere in the US (if you are living abroad) is SKYPE. I fill my wife's account with an American credit card and it tricks it into thinking her account is from the USA. Then she can call my cellphone or any other US phoneline for pennies on the minute. Plus 800 numbers are free. My best advice would be call or email whoever has your application at the moment.
If you are able to 'match up' her name
for
--passport
--ID card
--visa name
then the green card , once issued, will match up, also.
If you can do this whilst she is 'in her country' - then -
IMO
life is easier once she is the USA.
re - change up at uscis / nvc
don't worry about uscis, for now -
change it all up at NVC, once the casefile is AT NVC.
Good Luck !
Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
