"FACEBOOK is at it again...violating your personal information: As of today, there is a new privacy setting called "Instant Personalization" that shares data with non-facebook websites and it is automatically set to "Allow." Go to Account > Privacy Settings > Applications and Websites and uncheck "Allow". Please copy & repost."

Can somebody take a screen shot of the Applications and Websites page with the checkbox for "Allow" because I'm not seeing it. Here's what I see when I go to that page:

I also have some serious privacy issues with FB.

My 17-yr old daughter's BF put my younger daughter's first & last names on his

facebook page, describing her as "sibling." I voiced my objections about this

with my ex but naturally it fell on deaf ears. The mall cop (BF) also has his

main facebook ID pic together with my YOUNGER daughter.

I did make a protest about this through the facebook reporting channel

but have had no response from that, either agreeing or disagreeing with me.

I know he's probably breaking no law but as a parent I have to be concerned.

Putting my daughter as "sibling" would make him my son which is news to me.

FB's days of being the shiznit for social networking are numbered, just as they were for MySpace and Friendster.

I don't see it coming! FB is the best, hands down, Google even tried to compete by launching the Google Buzz but I don't think it is catching on.

....So the Apple iPad is a breakthrough technology that is going to revolutionize and turn the computer industry upside down on its head...People will be lined up in droves to purchase iPad's, everybody will want/have one BUT Facebook's days are numbered ,,,,,,,,,I think you have it backwards, just my opinion!

break and saw the "Odd Couple" performing

within a few yards of each other.

Everything has a shelf life...it's just that some things have a have longer shelf life than others in terms of marketability. MySpace was hugely popular up until the last couple of years. Before that, Friendster. Facebook will eventually be eclipsed by another social network site. FB has some really cool features that no other social networking site offered which is why they took over the market. The same applies to iPods, iPhones or any other gadget. FB's downfall will be its continuous compromising of their client's privacy, IMO.
