We just had our 2nd RFE from NVC because according to them we didn't have our dates of residence in number format. Our first RFE was for the same thing! Everything is in number format! Can anyone shed some light on why this keeps getting an RFE? Anyone else have this happen?

The numbers look fine to me, but I think you need to use "-" instead of "/" between month & year.

Sorry for the confusion. I wanted to see if anyone could shed some light on the whole number format problem separately because we got 2 RFE's for this!

Thank you for your input on both my posts and yes, the NVC has gone mad!

Are you serious? How would someone know to use dashes instead of slashes between the month and year? So to clarify, the format is 04-2004 - 04-2005?

you have to look at the lines of the form DS-230 carefully...all the lines for the date say "mm-dd-yyyy" or "mm-yyyy" so you have to follow the example...

you can get the Sample of Completed Form DS-230 on "LingChe NVC ShortCut"

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut#FROM_BENEFICIARY_.28DS-3032_and_components_for_DS-230_IV_Package.29:

and also you might already know but use the new version of the form DS-230

good luck :star:
