fee for K-1

Hi all,

Just a quick query, I know that the fee for K-1 visa's was looking to be increased, but it says in the info pack that his fee for "immigration visa's" is $400 in total per person, does K-1 count as an immigration visa, or do i still pay the $131?

k1 is a non immigrant visa you only have to pay $131

I had my interview today and paid 98 euros or 131 dollars.

Yep..

Visa fee CURRENTLY is $131, but it will be increasing at some point in the near future to $355 (or so it has been speculated). DOS announced plans to increase the visa fees across the board in December, 2009 and took public comments about the propopsed fee increases for a couple of months. They haven't announced their decision yet, but you can be sure that the fees will increase.
