What the heck!

Our petition was rec'd by NVC on 31 July and sent 02 Aug to Manila Embassy. The question becomes... Why isn't the NVC processing the petitions? Goodness, they get the job done! By the by, the NVC folks are friendly, courteous, and helpful. I wish they were performing visa interviews as well (wishful thinking)!

Oh, that would be just lovely heaven and music to my ears if they can do that! :lol: welp.....still waiting patiently over here...but we're slowly approaching the edge of insanity hehe

YnaYeBa0808 - Let's call on Sunday to check whether they have received our petitions. The number is 011-63-2-528-6300 ext. 5184 or 5185. About three weeks ago, a lady in the Nonimmigrant Visa Unit was kind enough to give me the Immigrant Visa Unit extensions where K1 Visas are processed.

Congradulations you guys!

How did you find out they sent the packages to the embassy already?

Dang A&K, seems we have similar timelines...I wonder what's up with mine :( anyway, good luck to ya!

??Jul 2005 - we met online

28 Jul 2005 - our relationship "officially" started (we chatted almost every single night!)

4 Feb 2006 - I flew over to see her for her birthday and Valentine's Day

7 Mar 2006 - I-129F sent

9 Mar 2006 - petition received

14 Mar 2006 - petition opened

16 Mar 2006 - NOA1 sent (nothing heard since)

23 Jun 2006 - IMBRA RFE sent

6 Jul 2006 - IMBRA RFE reply sent

18 Jul 2006 - RFE reply recieved

19 Jul 2006 - touched

24 Aug 2006 - finally got bloody touched!!! (they responded to my RFE)

31 Aug 2006 - touched

1 Sep 2006 - NOA2! nuf said!!! (178 days)

5 Sep 2006 - touched? after already getting NOA2?

7 Sep 2006 - touched yet again...must be the mailing process

22 Sep 2006 - Case left NVC

26 Sep 2006 - Case arrived in Manila Embassy

7 Dec 2006 - Appointment letter sent

13 Dec 2006 - received Appt letter

21 Dec 2006 - St Luke's Medical appointment

28 Dec 2006 - Visa interview appointment (APPROVED!!!)

11 Jan 2007 - VISA ON HAND!!!! YEA YEA!!!!

17 Mar 2007 - First step into US soil (SFO)

28 Mar 2007 - Civil wedding at SF City Hall!

Adjustment of Status

16 May 2007 - finally mailed off AOS/EAD package

18 May 2007 - AOS/EAD received

22 May 2007 - AOS/EAD notice sent

25 May 2007 - status update on USCIS website

19 Jun 2007 - Biometrics Appointment in Sacramento

20 Jun 2007 - touched

26 Jun 2007 - touched

25 Jul 2007 - AOS touched

1 Aug 2007 - EAD approved. USCIS ordered production of new card

13 Aug 2007 - AOS interview (APPROVED!!!)

Did you mean NVC? i just called and they said that they had not received my petition yet but it didn't seem like they really checked. They asked when I got my NOA 2 and when I told them July 31st she immediately replied to give it 2 to 4 weeks...:(

05/18/05: Met on Yahoo chat.

09/10/05: We agree to meet.

02/10/06: First trip to Manila

03/26/06: Filied I-129F package

04/04/06: NOA 1 at California service center

06/30/06: IMBRA RFE mailed to CSC

07/05/06: Email stating CSC received RFE

07/31/06: NOA 2! Wahoooo!

08/03/06: NVC reciept

08/07/06: NVC forwards petition to the Embassy!!

08/15/06: Embassy received case:MNL2006716###

09/19/06: We have an interview date!! Wahoo!

11/20/06: Interview

11/29/06: VISA delivered

12/05/06: Entry into the U.S. at LAX

yes meant NVC .. and she told me that USCIS has 90 days to send it to them.

uling, heres an update, there were two packages sent to manila this week, one was sent on august 1afternoon and one today. our papers could be in either one... if ours were included on august 1 then as of today they have our paperwork (its saturday now so i dont think it matters since theyre probably closed on weekends) if our paperwork were sent out today, then im hoping it is going to get there on monday morning. either way, let's just call on monday to check. :)

i've been calling, but couldn't get thru. :( if that's their response, i'll wait till next week before trying again.

hi kids, jst to give you extra information, NVC takes calls until 12 Midnight... their 2-4 weeks is a standard answer. and maybe this tidbit of info would help, my noa2 was dated on the 24th, they didnt recieve my paperwork until the 31st. give them a couple of days and hopefully your paperworks will be there on monday if not tonight. good luck, let us know how it goes :)

well i couldn't wait till next week, tried again and got thru. i was told the standard 2 to 4 weeks and we'll be contacting you once it's in the system.
