** Not to add to the confusion but this topic is more or less a continuation of one previously started by the OP. I've merged the two together and placed the resulting single topic in "Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits" where it may be more appropriate (rather than K-1 Procedures).

It appears the OP is asking about a family/friend rather than themselves personally.

Timeline

WHy does the timeline say AOS pending and the profile read dates from 2008 . Is this your second visa adventure ?

The OP is referring to the case of a RELATIVE, not himself/herself. The timeline for this OP will oc course be very different than that of the person in need of the help or assistance.
