I am so frustrated right now, I feel like just leaving the US for another place.

Just got off the phone with a USCIS representative, and basically she said that they are using the RFE dates as the start of the process, NOT the NOA 1 date.

So that basicaly means we submitted in April, waited 2 months for our transfer to CSC, then another month for the RFE (IMBRA), and now our days actually start from that day. 90 days of waiting=No Progress.

We should all just expect this process to take 9 months!

yes, it is basically being told "tough luck buddy". That is what they are doing, processing by RFE date - but the processing is going quickly. They are up to July 10 or so now....

Of course, there are still people with earlier RFE dates who have heard nothing, and some people who filed a long time ago who haven't even received their RFE yet, and I just can't fathom that.

04/13/06 - I-129F mailed

04/18/06 - NOA1

08/30/06 - NOA2

09/26/06 - received at NVC

09/27/06 - forwarded to consulate

20/11/06 - visa in my pocket!

14/01/07 - POE

13/04/07 - marriage

27/04/07 docs sent in for AOS, EAD, AP

26/06/07 - biometrics appointment

02/17/07 - AP and EAD arrive

03/03/08 - Infopass - where the heck is my AOS interview?? No one knows!

The part that is confusing to me is how some petitions go through quickly and some take forever. If you look at my sig, you can see all the touches, but no decision. And if they are going by the IMBRA RFE date, then I should have been approved in the 7/31 batch. ####### is with all my touches....

And if someone is going to come back to me about you just applied in late May, blah, blah, blah, save it. There are several petitions that were approved from late May with RFE dates AFTER mine. I’m getting f’ing pissed at seeing day after day go by with no approval.

That email is the one we all got, saying they received our RFE.

What was the maximum stated in that message? When I received that message, there was NO date, as I am sure there wasn't with you either. See how deceiptful it is. Enough to give you that glimmer of hope, until you know your case just sat around for 4 months.

Not exactly. Most of the processing was done before they created the RFE form. Now petitions are being completed and approved more or less based on the return date of the RFE.

One important thing - never take anything a USCIS rep says to be the truth. They have very little understanding of the system or the process. We know much more here based on member experience.

You are not back to the beginning of the line along with people who filed on the same date you returned your RFE. But the next step in your processing appears to be based on the RFE return date more or less.

It sucks. They screwed up royally. We have all waited a whole lot longer than normal.

When you first get your NOA1 and a case # then you create an account online. When you fisrt log in to your account and check status it states the NOA1 date and approximate processing times. Mine for instance stated 80 to 110 days.

Unfortunately there really is no other way for them to process other than by RFE receipt date. Which really sucks for some people who have waited so long. But for instance if someone has a march NOA1 date but they still haven't returned their RFE and someone who filed May returend their RFE right away. Should they sit around and wait for the March people to return their RFE or should they start working on files as soon as they receive the RFE back? It is really the only way for them to do it.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Well we've gone back and forth on this one already. They are no longer stating approximate processing times. Isn't that convenient? And it's rather ridiculous for them to refer to the processing date in their email when they don't show any processing dates anymore. Ah, such is the stupidity of CSC.

The thing they SHOULD have done was to send out RFEs based on NOA1 date. That would have been the equitable and correct way to handle it. After they sent all the March NOA1 date RFEs, they could have moved on and sent out the next batch a few weeks later. If someone in the March group was out of the country or unable to return the RFE, they would not have had to "hold" any other petitions that were ready for approval and had the returned RFE. But sending out RFEs randomnly with no regard whatsoever for original NOA1 dates is where they f*cked up royally.

I personally would like the head of the director of CSC on a platter . . .

We feel the same over here at VSC. All March people have been totally disregarded besides a lucky few. This week on VJ VSC has almost seen no action whatsoever except for a small amount of cases. It's managment from top down, it's a joke and bad example of governemental inefficiency throughout the USCIS.

Yep. I know it is crazy for me to harbour such resentment over this, especially since I am not even a March NOA1, but the randomness of the RFE mailing is really stuck in my craw.

Sorry man, my NOA2 also expires on 08/06. VSC had one recalled case approved on VJ this week according to our chart. Pitiful, tequila, yeah, I'm waiting 'til after 5. I'm pretty angry also. Feel for you kitkat1, it looks like our NOA1 dates are about the same. Praying, offering understanding words is just not enough, sorry guys. (F)
