She probably does, but she is using the religious argument for having so many children.

Indeed. I wonder if she's as pro-life as some of the other posters in this thread? Seems a little awkward to me...

Feminist hero Mararet Sanger, the founder of PLanned Parenthood was busy in the interests of eugenics and controlling the Black populations or as she would say "Weeds... in the garden of humanity."

As Abortions on blacks are nearly 3 x that of whites, I would say her vision was not short lived.

Danno is right. The much lauded Sanger was a proponent of eugenics and promoted abortion as a means of limiting the number of Black people and other undesireables.

Danno is wrong. Not about Sanger, don't know, don't care, but wrong that Obama had anything to do with this woman and her 'family' vis a vis the OP. This thread is typical Danno logic run amok.

Aint that the truth?

Look, while Danno took a silly jab at Obama, people should be aware of such negligent idiocy. The mother is not the victim here, her fatherless children are the victim. Ultimately, so will society be, as we have to deal with and pay for this mess. Some like Cleo say the costs are negligible, but that is not the point. Why should I pay for this woman's repetitively negligent choices? Why should her children suffer and live in conditions reminiscent of the 'old country'?

Actually, I would like to hear Paul's take on this because shenanigans like these are exactly what you get in a zero government do as you please societies. Under such free for all models, it's inevitable that people will abuse the system. What would I propose, having kids be means tested. That is, by the third fatherless child that someone cannot possible afford to raise, their tubes be tied or at the very least they be forewarned of possible prison time for their fourth child.

I just can't stop thinking about the amount of diapers this woman went through. My husband and I both work and diapers are still expensive for us

That's the key, because you work, you to pay for them; thus know the actual cost of raising a child.

What 'old country' are you referring to?

Your proposal is idiotic.

The fact is that once someone gets into these types of situations it's already too late which is why society is forced to either accept the costs that come with the fact that some idiots make terrible life choices (and as I have tried to point out already, this is only one of many, many idiotic choices that people make that cost society financially, and one that is in reality not all that heavy a financial burden but for some reason women who have too many children is the 'go to' choice for those who enjoy all this finger wagging, tut tutting about what is 'wrong' with society - probably because it's visible and can also be tied in with the puritanical desire to make sexual choices for other people) or force these people further into the margins by removing all support to them and damaging the chances of the offspring even further.

Not really Cleo, she'd have been imprisoned or sent to a Psych ward in various countries. However, such incidents are apparently quite common in the UK, so I not surprised with your stance. We can see exactly how well that place has turned out. Your approach to things like these, which more often than not is to do nothing, simply enables them. Obviously, since you don't have to deal with them, it's of no big deal to you. Bring up crime, bring up gangs etc and it's the same tune sung by everyone with similar do-nothing / blame others views.

Actually my proposal is fantastic. It's no different from talking weapons away from criminals or the license away from someone who repetitively commits road offenses.

Based on what? Even if true, that's not what you are worried about, you simply want to piss on women who have more than the 'recommended' number of babies, all the while white collar fraud costs the country trillions (mostly perpetrated by middle class men) and no one wags a finger at them. Wonderful set of priorities there.

Eugenics eh? How 1930s of you BY.

As we're going in for retro policies here perhaps we should establish labor camps to inter blacks, Hispanics, negligent parents, teenage tearaways and all of those other groups that you disapprove of.

No, my suggestion applies to all negligent adults. Nice try trying to play the you're attacking the minorities card.

One would think after the sixth fatherless child, while being on welfare, a flag would trigger that we have a problem. I have no problem with her having 20 kids, if she pays for them all herself.

Ah Cleo, nice try but once white collar fraudsters are caught, they go to jail and more often than not, for a very long time. Whereas, this lady is free as a bird to do as she pleases and even has the nerve to say, and I quote, "My family has been railroaded. Someone needs to pay.". But anyway, I'd like to go back to this it doesn't cost us anything and start putting some numbers on paper.

At a cost of approximately $13k per child without insurance, her births cost us $156K. I already estimated that is would cost well over $1.5 million to educate her children. What about the hotel room she is staying in? $50 a night = $18K a year. How about clothing, food etc? $600 a week = $31.2K. How many other idiots like this are there out there apparently not costing us anything? To add insult to injury, she does not work. But hey, I am sure you endorse she just sit at home, spread her legs (frrreeeeedddoooom) and then have others pay.
