Well I guess its better to take a letter just incase.

all my mom does is type up a permission paper naming each child staying that she (her name) has permission to travel, or live or in general just be out of the usa for an undetermined amount of time with each child they then take it to notary and he signs it....it does not require an attorney or anything :)

I traveled to Lebanon with my infant daughter for one month and then returned to the U.S. I was never asked anything when entering or departing u.s. or Lebanon. They let me right in and out of both countries.
