Maybe if find work or go back to school (iam 24) here it can be easier!!! i'm a little bit lost right now....

please can you help me to find a solution!!

thank you

p.s: i'm sorry for my english, i'm still learning.

coming to school in USA is an option, though expensive, as you have to demonstrate ability to pay tuition costs as a non-resident and living expenses in order to get an F1 visa.

visiting on VWP is OK as long as you spend 7 months a year outside of USA (typically this works).

I don't think there is a strict rule on how much time you can be in the USA during one year. It depends on how often you want to go and how long you will stay. Staying 3 months, coming home for one month and going back for three might look suspicious. On the other hand, flying more often for shorter periods of time might look suspicious too to some immigration officer plus in increases the chance of getting questioned. But there really is no strict rule.

In any case you should bring some "evidence" that show your ties to France...from your employer that you are expected back to work at a certain time, a lease for an appartment,...anything that shows that you don't intend to stay over the 90 days.

If you indeed want to stay longer, I'd say a student visa is the way to go. I am not sure about how hard they are to get and if you are allowed to have a job on those but for sure as a regular tourist on the VWP, you can't work!!!

thanks for these answers! i really don't know what to do!! and if i really really want to live with my boyfriend, the marriage is my only real option??

if it is the case, how can i do?

Get married in France and then have your USC file for a CR-1.

Get engaged and have the USC file an I-129F petition to get you a K-1 visa.

There really is not a visa option that allows you to come to the USA and spend some time with your boyfriend to see how the relationship develops.

yes I can try to turn over at school but I am not certain to want it!! it is to start again a whole process!

but what I see, it is very difficult to settle in America when we have an american boyfriend, and theonly option is the marriage (and I think that takes time too)!

I dont know how to do  ….

If you want to settle in America with your boyfriend:

1. Marriage is one option. It is easy. Just show up in the US, live with your boyfriend however long VWP allows you and then get married (you only need your passport for that, in most states). Then go back to France and apply for CR-1 visa.

2. If you already have an education: you can go to graduate school (should not cost you anything and you may get a stipend) or get a work visa (find a job in the city your boyfriend lives, first). Eventually, you will have to either apply for a green card through your work, or get married.

You can *try* life with your boyfriend, 3 months at a time. People from non-vwp countries can not. You are lucky

My fiance and I met in France during my year abroad two years ago...after I left we wanted to continue our relationship. He visited twice 3 months each and I visited once for 3 months (it was difficult to do too much traveling because I was still in school). When you can't physically be together, I can not stress enough the value of Skype and a camera. You will quickly find the value. It's a completely different experience because you have to rely on communication and trust and l-o-v-e. I understand though your wanting to be in the U.S. with him now. Visit each other in intervals, you go to the U.S. and he visit you. Bon Courage mon amie.
