Storage locker near the MTL Consulate??

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can store my bag while I'm at my interview. Check-out time at my hotel is 12:00pm, and since I'm not sure how long it'll take, I was planning on storing my bag in a locker before the interview.

Does anyone know where I can rent a locker close to the Consulate?

The check out at my hotel was at noon as well, so I got to the consulate early (06:30ish) and was 2nd in line. I was done and out of the consulate by 10, had time to head back to the hotel for a little nap and shower to warm up!! You can also ask at the hotel about a late check-out and/or many hotels have luggage area's where you can leave your bag for a few hours after check out.

Oh cool... but it can you put something in a locker before the mall actually opens? I'm planning on being in line at 6:30.

That I do not know. The only other place that I know of is the Berri Bus Station, and they will only let you use the lockerst here if you have a bus ticket.

If you are one of the ten people interviewed, you should be out by 11 or so...

Also, you can check out before heading to the consulate and have the concierge hold your luggage. Most hotels will do that.

the hotel will likely hold your bag for you.. I have never stayed at a hotel anywhere in the world that would not do this...

Where I stayed at Vancouver I checked out at about 9 in the morning, but they had a locked closet where they would store your luggage for the day if you asked. Seemed pretty standard.

Yeah, they stored my suitcases in a locked room and gave me a numbered ticket to hold onto. This is usually provided for free.

If you get to the consulate early you should be done well before noon. We arrived just after 7 a.m., were letter "D" and were out by 9:15. We requested a late check out at the hotel just in case.

Just ask the hotel, they always have locked baggage rooms for this reason. Should be no extra charge. I would ask for a late check out though, normally not a problem, especially not during high season.

thanks everyone! I think I'll just go with the late check-out. Besides, if I have to go back to my hotel to get my stuff, that means I can go to Dusty's for breakfast! Mmm... blintzes :)
