No need to include pictures or any other evidence in your AOS application. Save that for your interview. Since you're adjusting from K1 status, you also have a good chance of being transferred to CSC and approved without interview.

7/27/2005 Went to India to see Sowmya

7/31/2005 Proposed and she said "yes"!

08/05/2005 Held official engagement ceremony

08/07/2005 Returned to US

08/26/2005 Sent in I-129F petition

08/31/2005 Received online NOA1

09/02/2005 Received NOA1 through snail mail

11/22/2005 Received online NOA2!!! (Day 88)

11/26/2005 Received NOA2 through snail mail.

11/28/2005 NVC receives case

12/1/2005 Case sent to Chennai consulate via DHL

1/12/2006 Interview date - Visa approved!!!

1/16/2006 Received visa by courier

1/20/2006 Arrival in US - Chicago O'hare POE (Reunited at last!!!)

1/21/2006 Returned home to Birmingham together.

2/10/2006 Married!!!

Really?? You can get AOS without having to go to an interview? Is it just luck of the draw or is it if you have a really well put together packet?

I don't mind going to the interview, but hey when we're paying 3.19 a gallon for gas if I can save a drive to Detroit I'll take it. :D

Just wondering, I hadn't heard that before!

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

There doesn't seem to be any surefire formula for determining who does and doesn't get approved without interview. It does appear that more and more K1-AOS applicants are being transferred to CSC for expedited processing to relieve the backlog at some local offices. You just have to keep your fingers crossed and hope you get lucky :)

Woo hoo :) well i never win anything else so maybe i can channel all that pent up good luck into getting an interview-free approval! :D

If not, hey, Detroit has a PF Changs Bistro and the Red Wings so maybe it could turn out better than expected.
