My N-400 was delivered yesterday (I didn't send it overnight - FedEx Ground. I like to keep it cheap! ;) ). It's a small step but it's something.

In a different thread I read about someone who didn't have to go get their biometrics done because they were less than 12 months old. I had mine taken in Nov 2009, maybe I am one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to go. We'll see.

speaking of biometrics, we'll go to denver today for my bio app (its for the I-90. i lost my GC)... so that makes me think if i'll ever get a FP for my N-400 or they might just say its a different application and i will have to drive in denver again in a week or two for another FP... lol...

speaking of biometrics, we'll go to denver today for my bio app (its for the I-90. i lost my GC)... so that makes me think if i'll ever get a FP for my N-400 or they might just say its a different application and i will have to drive in denver again in a week or two for another FP... lol...

I read that you can submit a police report about lost GC and not have to get another GC if you're applying for naturalization. Did you look into this?

no i havent or didnt look in to that. what happened was i lost my gc while vacationing in the philippines (got pick pocketed). when i emailed the embassy they told me what to do so i can go back to the states w/ out my gc. when we arrived at detroit as our poe i was held by the custom officer for 30-40 mins and they filed me an I-90 and paid $375 for it... that was last jan. 2010... it sucks coz now i filed for n-400 and means more money again for them lol...

Hahaha... I actually set up an online alert from my Bank to send me an email and SMS when the check is cleared/cashed. Speaking of which, it's just cashed this morning. And I received an email and SMS from USCIS a few minutes ago that they have accepted my application. LOL....

Fingerprint appointment arrived today. We were finally able to get the number to work online last night and saw that an RFE was issued 4/29.

My receipt number doesn't work either.... RFE=fingerprint notice btw (just in case you didn't know yet) :)

My receipt number doesn't work either.... RFE=fingerprint notice btw (just in case you didn't know yet) :)

omg we have the same probs!!! but i still keep on using it everyday to see if its already working and today, IT WORKED!!! lol... stating:

On May 6, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence ....

im guessing just like everyone else its gonna be the FP... good luck TWEETY im sure ur case# will work in a week or two!

4/16/2010- signed and delivered

4/29/2010- check cleared

Got my fingerprint letter! Appointment is May 24th :dance:

April 13, 2010 - N 400 sent

April 14, 2010 - Received confirmation of delivery from mail carrier

April 23, 2010 - NOA date

April 26, 2010 - Check cleared

April 27, 2010 - NOA letter received

May 7, 2010 - Fingerprint letter received

May 24, 2010 - Fingerprint appointment

July 13, 2010 - Interview (passed!)

July 29, 2010 - Oath letter received. Oath scheduled for 08/26/2010

August 26, 2010 - I'm a US Citizen!!!!

I went to my InfoPass appointment May 6 to Providence Field Office, but when I got there they told me they don't do walk-ins, and they're not gonna be able to schedule a FP appointment 'till after my scheduled FP appointment, which is on the 18th. The guy there said when we applied for the N-400, our file is already on cue so it won't matter if we have our FP done earlier than sheduled. He said it will take about a month after the FP to be interviewed, then 2-6 weeks for the oath.

Drove 40 minutes back and forth with no positive results.. But hey, at least I've tried!

Milimelo, you're right, having FP done earlier won't really expedite the process.

I-130

12/22/09: I-130 receipt date (Sent by lawyer to CSC)

8/20:10: Approved/NOA2

9/03/10: NVC # generated, gave e-mail adds

9/08/10: Received IV/AOS fee bill

9/09/10: Paid AOS/IV

9/13/10: Mailed completed AOS, enetered into the system on 9/14

9/19/10: Mailed completed DS-230, entered into the system on 9/22

10/13/10: CASE COMPLETE!!!

04/06/11: Case upgraded from F2A to CR-1

05/03/11: Final review completed

05/17/11: Interview date scheduled!

05/20/11: Forwarded case to USEM

06/10/11: Interview - APPROVED!!!
