Oh, yeah? Silly me.. :bonk:

Thank God 'cause I've been really nervous this entire process.. I thought I did something wrong with my application..

I hope I receive my biometrics letter tomorrow.. They said they sent it on the 27th

your signature says you received a text message with your receipt number... How did you get this? I didn't know USCIS is offering such a service....

You send in G-1145 form to get text and email notices. I did it too and so far it works.

It can be sent in with all cases you have.

Yup, Tweety's right.. I sent my application with Form G-1145.. But if you didn't, that's ok.. You can still get a text/e-mail message with updates of your cases.. Just register on USCIS..

Got my Biometrics letter today! (thanks milimelo for explaining RFE=FP :lol:) Will try to do walk-in or InfoPass to have FP done earlier than scheduled date. Don't know if it will expedite the process but hey, it won't right? :P

I took my FP over 20 days before it was scheduled. When I called to figure out where's the hold up the USCIS (Military line) said they only got it back after my original FP date (yeah right, I know the FBI turnaround time is within 3 business days). So around 2 weeks after my original FP date I called and found out they were working on my interview letter (scheduled for 6/17). Maybe it will, in my case it didn't - which works for me as interview will be on my 3 years and 17 days residency anniversary.

I took my FP over 20 days before it was scheduled. When I called to figure out where's the hold up the USCIS (Military line) said they only got it back after my original FP date (yeah right, I know the FBI turnaround time is within 3 business days). So around 2 weeks after my original FP date I called and found out they were working on my interview letter (scheduled for 6/17). Maybe it will, in my case it didn't - which works for me as interview will be on my 3 years and 17 days residency anniversary.

"it won't hurt, right", missed the word "hurt".. :lol: Made an appointment via InfoPass to have FP done on Thursday.. Yeah, I hope it will make a difference.. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Mar 28, 2007: NOA1 dated Mar 09

Mar 28, 2007: biometrics letter dated Mar 22

Apr 06, 2007: biometrics appointment

(Oct 09, 2007: called USCIS: service request sent to TSC)

Jan 31, 2008: case transferred to VSC (last touch date changed from 04/07/07 to 02/01/08)

My N-400 was delivered yesterday (I didn't send it overnight - FedEx Ground. I like to keep it cheap! ;) ). It's a small step but it's something.

In a different thread I read about someone who didn't have to go get their biometrics done because they were less than 12 months old. I had mine taken in Nov 2009, maybe I am one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to go. We'll see.
