Hi, I don't know if this is the best forum to post this in, but I wanted to let everyone know that I've had a terrible experience with ABC Translations (www.abctranslations.com). I paid them for a notarized, certified translation of my fiance's birth certificate after they gave me the lowest bid and turnaround time for the job ($59, two days). Then, nothing. No response to my emails or phone calls. And of course they already had my money. I saw that their address was in LA, where I live, so I drove out to see if I could get a response there. It was a very Law and Order moment as I slowly realized their "office" was a mailbox in a Mailboxes ETC. Yesterday I sent them an email threatening legal action and they promised to refund my money by this afternoon, so we'll see...but any way, steer clear of them! A little internet research after the fact indicated that other people have been scammed like me, and it's so frustrating as we try to get all the I-129F paperwork together, just another delay before the real waiting begins. I used a different service, WorldLingo Translations (www.worldlingo.com), and they were professional and timely to a fault.
