So, my fiance has an interview May 10 at the embassy in Tokyo. I haven't received anything in the mail about an interview for me here in the states. Could someone give me some advice on what I need to do now? Is this interview for her the last step before we can get married? I'm excited and confused at the same time. PLEASE HELP!!!

No, and you won't. Hopefully you have provided all the documents your fiancee will need at the interview.

1) I-134 affidavit of support and Supporting Evidence

2) NEW Letter of Intent to Marry addressed to Department of State, US Embassy in Tokyo

3) Originals of important documents you may have sent as copies like your birth certificate, divorce decree if it applies to you anything else special to your case.

Naturalization N-400

Hey - that's exciting news ! This is a great time to update yer timeline, as well !!!

Now, do you have the NVC Case# ? You'll need it, if you want to call DOS and find out any case status.

If you don't have it - call NVC, Get a Human and inquire.

If she has this interview date, must assume the P3 was handled OK, and she's about to (or just finished up) her medical exam.

No, you won't get anything from anyone once the Toyko embassy opens the casefile, sends out the P3 to her.

You can certainly call DOS, and inquire on casefile status, you betcha !

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Whoa Nelly ! Want NVC Info? see http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !
