My MIL calls her first granddaughter "Bulbul." In the Cebuano-Visayan language, that word means pubes. I told my husband about that and he shared the info with his mom a long time ago.

I finally met my MIL last week and she said that "Bulbul" in India is a bird. In short, she refused to stop calling my niece-in-law that nickname. I commented that it's fine. After all, children grow up and they'll decide for themselves someday.

This just shows once again that language truly is arbitrary.

I don't believe in having any public hair. It should all be modestly covered and kept private.

Unless you have flabby boobs and weak ankles.

I had an Uncle named 'Moon #######'....I think maybe his real name was Munich (??) but everyone pronounced it Moon #######.
