Can I (USC) visit my fiance in the UK to attend with her the K1 visa interview on the VWP? or do I need to get some special sort of visa for that?

Sorry if the above question is really stupid..

The VWP is for visiting the US.

I believe the UK equivalent allows a maximum stay of 6 months.

VWP works the other way too, it's reciprocal in the sense that a USC doesn't need to apply for a visitor's visa before traveling/ gaining entry to the UK.

But yes, entry to the UK can be granted for up to 6 months but it can be restricted if they want to. Equally, entry can be refused.

When Ry comes over in a couple weeks, he's bringing our NOA2 with him and when they ask the reason for his visit, he'll be telling them it's to help us through the interview and packing. But he's planning on staying for a couple of months, so we may need a little more proof that he's intending to leave again!

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

Just to clarify something, Boiler is right in correcting the OP. The Visa Waiver Program is a US government program. There is a UK equivalent which indeed works in a similar way to the VWP but it is not the VWP.
