To make your appointment with a panel physician in Canada, you have to have the interview letter in hand - so packet 4 I guess you call it.

To find out more about the medical, have a look at this page and in particular the immunizations section - to ensure she has all of her vaccinations up to date:

For a K-1 you don't need the packet 4, the packet 3 is sufficient. When she calls to book an appointment just have her mention she is awaiting her interview date for a K-1 visa. To get in the door on the day of the medical she will need to present something with her name and MTL case number on it. Usually people bring the first page/cover letter of the P3. A lot of us have done this :)

Perfect that's what I was looking for. My fiance made copies of Packet which includes a copy of the checklist and the MTL number listed. I'll get her an appointment at the Montreal office. Its really too bad she has to stay their to collect the results since Montreal office I'm told no longer offers Courier service returns. that's just more funds into motels :).

thank you!!

I had mine done in Nov, and didn't have my interview until the end of March. The office (Dr. Sieden) held the results there. I called a few days before my interview to make arrangements to pick them up a day before.

So K1s don't have to have an interview letter!

Although that used to be the case for CR1/IR1s as well. Have K1 people never had to have the interview letter?

I had my medical in montreal at medisys, they were really great there, medical was ready in under 4days cost me less then it would of to go to DR seidens. Medisys also gave me a copy of the vaccination sheet they filled out. I had problems booking appointments for that office in montreal and they werent very nice on the phone at all. They also never returned my calls.

I had my medical in July 2009 then had my interview in August 2009. They took the medical packet from me at the interview and gave me back the xray saying that I could keep it and give it to my DR in america.

I'm not really sure! Not that I'm aware of. I had my medical in February of 2009 and you didn't need it then.

I had some issues booking with Dr. Seiden in Toronto as well. It took them 4 days to return my call after I called and tried to book an appointment the first time... but, they were all very nice when I was there.

Two years ago you could book one for a CR1/IR1 without an interview letter as well - then something changed - or did it?

I have seen it posted many times here that they require the letter, at least one person was asked. Now i'm questioning whether or not it is just VJ folklore or if it is fact.

I had my medical in Jan of 2007. All I needed was the packet 3 info letter and the case # beginning with MTL from my packet 3

At that time I called the panel DR. and was told that's all they required to do the medical for me.

He coied down the MTL on my medical review forms
