Since you already married you need to show proof of AOS. Once you get your EAD card or GC you can apply for the SSN.

No you can actually get one now if you want. My husband just filed for his last week. And it should be in the mail this week. Once you have entered the US on a K-1 visa you can apply for a SSN you just need to take your 1-94, birth certificate and passport down there and fill out the form they give u. SO if you want it now the better, if you are just waiting because you dont want to do it now, then it doesn't hurt either. Just needs to get it done though.

Maybe - maybe not. I didnt see any POE date on the OP's timeline, if your within two weeks of the I-94 exp date you will not be able to apply for SSN until you get EAD or GC.

6/15/2009 Filed I-129F

12/15/2009 Interview (HCMC, VN)

1/16/2010 POE Detroit

3/31/2010 MARRIED !!!

11/20/2010 Filed I-485

12/23/2010 Biometrics (Buffalo, NY)

12/31/2010 I-485 Transfered to CSC

2/4/2011 Green Card received

1/7/2013 Mailed I-751 package

1/14/2013 I-751 NOA (VSC)

After 14 days of POE, you can apply SSN. Apply it ASAP. You need to give SSA more windows as they verify with USCIS usually takes time.

Yea, that is another constraint.
